10 reviews for Days Inn Galleria Birmingham, Birmingham
Good place to stay to save money
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/26/08
Nothing wrong with this motel. Very close to Hoover Met stadium. Easy to get to from the interstate. Good breakfast bar. I was very comfortable. Management responded quickly to reports of minor problems. I will stay here again.

This place has really gone down
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/26/08
We just stayed at Riverchase for 4 nights attending SEC baseball tournament. Understand it was purchased by an individual, and you can really see the difference. It took 2 requests to get a roll of toilet paper, a special request to get towels that were bigger than hand towels, etc. The breakfast was basically nothing. Our reservations were fine, but other people in our party had nothing but trouble. The person at the desk gave their room away one day and they had constant problems getting their room key to work. The clincher was seeing a van from Alabama Dept of Corrections pull up in mornings and let people out who were going to clean the rooms! We will NOT be staying here again - Melinda Ruff Columbia, SC

DO NOT STAY HERE
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/25/08
This hotel is terrible. Made resv. 9 months ago. Tried to check in early and was told the room was not ready. Was given room number and told to come back in 2+ hrs it would be ready . When I got back they had given my assigned room to someone and had no room for me. Then when they "found" a room it was not what I had reserved. Every night they had me locked out of my room. I had to stay here as there was noT any available rooms in the area. VERY POOR management. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO MY DOGS!!!!!

overall

This is no place for someone who is diabetic. the breakfast area was hot ( was told the A/C was broken ) food left a lot to be desired, only cereal was fruit loops & corn flakes, milk was in pitchers & warm not cold the cereal was in containers loose not in boxes. The bathroom had ants, the chair had a broken armrest. There was no control over noisy guests who came in at 1 AM in the morning & thought they were in a playground I will never stay at a motor inn again & certainly not Best Western

Not bad for the money
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/28/08
The hotel is close to a great shopping mall. I didn't like having to go outside to get into the rooms. It was like going to a Red Roof Inn, if you know what I mean. Over all it was clean and nicely priced. We are looking at staying there again this year as we travel down to Alabama on Spring Break.

Best western is in a great location. The rooms are clean and at a great price that you can't beat. I am about to book another room there this week.

Great Room for the $$$$

The staff is very friendly and the hotel is very close to all the action at the mall! I will return to this location when I am in the area again! Rooms are clean, parking lot well lit.

No More Best Western for Me
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/27/06
We booked a room at this hotel while traveling, so it was an impromptu stop. The woman's attitude behind the counter should have warned me about my upcoming experience, because she was sour, unhappy, and unfriendly (and this was a holiday weekend!). We didn't find our remote for the TV even though the hotel clerk said we had one and we just had to look for it. As I searched (and just why was I doing this?) I found old food, trash, and other garbage on the floor. This hotel also advertises a wireless connection. The connection was so weak that we couldn't connect at all. We were told the next morning that we could have called a 1-800 number to fix the connection, but I'm not into that game. I've stayed at hotels that were twice as nice for half the price and with strong wireless signals as well. Amazingly, this hotel is located across from the Galleria Mall, so I'm sure they snag plenty of customers. Perhaps we just hit it wrong, but this is the last in a series of bad, bad, bad Best Western experiences for me. No more.

I will NEVER stay here again
By kathleen, 11/13/06
We had reservations for a king bed room from our company. When I arrived I was told there was no reservations , bull, my boss even called and confirmed at about 5 pm that evening. I was given a queen I opened the door there was a 2 doubles went back to the desk and got another room opened the door and it was a double.3 x's before it was right 2 am in the morning. the bed was awful. You layed down and your feet was above your head. Needless to say We did not sleep.....................

Good enough
By Milkmayun, 05/30/06
Friendly staff, free internet access at business center computer, and free wireless throughout. The rack rate was a bit steep though. The rooms were clean, although I didn't get a bath towel, probably because I rushed check-in. The maid did come to bring me towels, but I didn't notice I was missing a bath towel until I got out of the shower.
