We loved this hotel!

The Riviera Hotel is just lovely. From the room, which is very spacious and well appointed with very nice linen, hair dryer, iron, dressing gowns, (and internet if one is interested). We would go down to breakfast in the morning and when the elevator doors open to reception, I tell you, if those monitoring reception could not put one in a good mood, no-one could put one in a good mood. We ate at the restaurant and loved it. Buffet breakfast is great. Location to the city and the local train station is also very good. It was our first visit to Taipei and I am really hoping not the last. I would always stay at this hotel. The door-man is one of the most courteous we have ever encountered (and we travel a lot).
