Hotel Ritter, Milan

I enjoyed very much my stay in Milan thanks to this very nice hotel located at very short distance from all sites. An excelent location to discover Milan and its marvels! Transportation at hand whenever needed, surrounded by small restaurants, at minutes walk to main visiting parks, castles, museums, shops, etc. The Dome, la Scala, several metro stops away! Close to the old town, even in the heart of it! If you have a map and like to explore you may find yourself in minutes at the spot. I liked the very nice staff, very good breakfast, even though the usual breakfast but more plentyful than in other places, the room was extremely clean and cozy, and cleaning was a daily job. Congratulations, Ritter Hotel! If I ever come back again I will be staying at Ritter!

Got a pretty good deal over the internet - 55 Euros for a twin room accommodation. Easy access to the Metro Station - a 2-5 minute walk from the hotel. There's a wide array of affordable Italian restaurants in the area, so no worries for your tummy. And if you're out for more adventure, a 15-20 minute stroll will bring you to Piazza Duomo. Rooms are tidy and comfy enough to have a much needed sleep after a tiring day of exploring the city. Though if you can't live without internet connection, then forget the place! Lol. I'll go back to this hotel if given the chance.

I have never reviewed an hotel before, and am moved to do so by the injustice of a couple of poor reviews of the Ritter I read when booking online. They nearly put me off, but reading between the lines I felt they said more about the reviewer than the hotel. Excellent location, amazing value (�39 a single), meticulously clean, friendly and helpful service. Only a novice would pay extra for any Italian hotel breakfast - excellent bar next door. When we were stranded in Milan because of the August terror alert, they gave us discounted rooms and a warm welcome back for our unscheduled extra night. The rooms are Spartan but perfectly comfortable. If people want luxury at �39 a night they may be better to stay at home, but accusations that the Ritter is not clean or that the personnel is unfriendly are deeply unjust.
