Wouldn't stay there again
First of all, the desk help was awesome and very accomodating. Nicest people in the world, even if they were annoyed by my complaints. The first room I was in had the toilet paper hold hanging from screws on the wall. The walls are thin and the people in the next room were quite audible. I moved and left the rest of my party behind, who were too exhausted at 1:00 a.m. to move. The 2nd night they had to listen to a baby cry all night. The room I moved to was nice, but the cheap plastic ice bucket was cracked. Why would they continue to re-use a cracked cheesy ice bucket after its useful life? My fridge was missing he temp control knob and was pretty much turned off. At least it was quiet there (no one next door). I coudl hear a lot in the hallways though. People who stay here arenot curtious guests. Everything appeared clean, but my feet were dirty from their carpeting and everything was very damp and sort of musty. Continental Breakfast was more than adequate. We booked this hotel so we'd have a pool, but guess what? The pool filter was broken so no pool all weekend. They did offer passes to a health club, but it wasn't in our time budget. I got the impression that maybe this was a nice place at one time, but it seems neglected. Worst of all, I thought it was expensive. For what we paid, I expected much better. p.s. If you walk in off the street, you get a cheaper "walk-in" rate of $13 less than the AARP rate.
Other observances: hallway smelled heavy of smoke by the doors by pool entrance. People must use that for a smoking area. The card reader is very touchy by the pool door entrance. You must swipe your key slowly.
