It Is What It Is

If you're hoping that this is an undiscovered gem, I must report that it is Motel 6, nothing more, nothing less. On the plus side, the rooms I used were clean. Both were "Non-smoking," but one smelled a little stale, while the other smelled quite fresh. The beds were surprisingly comfortable. Price was fair for the area.
One negative is the "cantina" that shares the parking lot. The drunks spill out onto the Motel space and make noise. Get a room on the other side. A patron complained that someone keyed his car. There are security guards at night.
So what is really on my mind? Not so much Motel 6 itself, but the general lack of courtesy that one finds at places like this. That is, the low rent people who stay here bring their low rent ways along with them. People slam doors, yell at all hours, and are totally oblivious to the simple idea that other folks are tired and trying to rest. It's a shame that people who can't afford a fancy place have to spend the night in what is essentially a ghetto. Travel (and manners) are not what they used to be.
