Exclusive Splendid Eiffel, Paris

the staff was super friendly and english speaking, which helped because i knew very little french. the hotel room size is ok, but its very clean and we had a view to the eiffel tower. the area is quite safe at night and around the corner has a delicious bakery. we're going back again next year!

While in Paris staying at the Splendid Hotel, my wife became ill. The hotel were great in helping to arrange the return journey for us, did not charge us for the nights we didn't stay even though they could have and gave us a discount for the night we did stay. Very kind and considerate and for this kind of customer service I would highly recommend them. The location is great, we had a room with a balcony that looked straight to the Eifel Tower without any obstruction. What more could you want in Paris.

Stayed in this hotel in fall of '05. Upon arrival, we found out the hotel was overbooked and our reservation was useless. However, the Splendid put us up in another hotel two blocks away. The view of the Eiffel tower was quite good, though you can't see it from inside the rooms - you have to go out onto the balcony. But still, it was a pleasant and charming hotel. The breakfast was typical european fare and adequate if not extravagant. The location was great - easy access to the metro / subway, though I wouldn't call the hotel "walking distance" to the E. tower. One certainly could, but if you have a number of sights to see, the metro is the way to go. Overall, a pleasant two-thumbs up.

I will keep this short, we stayed at the Spendid hotel on the 29th Aug - 1st Sep 2005: Service was excellent with good english speaking staff. Very clean and tidy with an Eiffel Tower view from most of the rooms. Location was great, with metro staion within a 5 minuite walk and the Eiffel Tower & Water bus within a 15 minute walk. Would use again as value for money was great. It lives up to its name, Splendid.

We had the front room so we could see the Tour Eiffel while laying in bed. It is a great hotel - there's a grocery right accross the street next to the Metro Stop. We had a magical time here!

Spent 4 nights here in mid-February and got a 4 for the price of 3 deal. Price worked out to about $100 per night. Outstanding value! This is a very nice little hotel, the front desk staff were very friendly and helpful, and all had quite good English language skills, which is a real boon to those of us with limited French skills. Location was outstanding, with a Metro station just a block away, easy walking distance to the Eiffel Tower and L'Hotel des Invalides. Two blocks away is Rue Cler -- a wonderful market street with all the specialty shops (boulangerie, patisserie, charcuterie, green grocers, etc.) I recommend this little hotel!
