Very Unprofessional and Unorgainized
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/4/11
I very much disliked how they handled my firm's cancelation. I tried to cancel my boss' reservation the day of the reservation and wanted to know what the fee was going to be, if any, as well we wanted to confirm that the second night was cancelled. They would not let my assitant speak with anyone, they would only let her send an email. She sent two emails trying to find out what charges were we to expect and we never got a response. One week later there was a charge for one night's stay. The charge wasn't the issue, it was the way they handled the situation. I have never encountered a hotel that cannot immediately tell me that we will be charged for not cancelling in time and then charge us a week later. It was a big waste of my time trying to figure out what was going on, because no one ever contacted us after we contacted them twice. Very unprofessional and Unorganized!!!

It Was Ok
By PancakeCess, 4/16/10
We had to check into our room late because the people staying in it requested a late check out during a busy weekend. Hotels should never grant late check ins during busy times. The elevators can make you dizzy and are uneven when you step off. It looked like the doors were in need of repainting. The hotel is connected to the Galleria and there are lots of things to see and do around the hotel.

I would have rather stayed in a Motel 6
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/1/09
This place is a huge waste of money, stay some where else! A/C so loud and ineffective I thought I was in an old motel with a window unit. There are no fridges or microwaves in the rooms, internet costs $10/day (come on Westin!), mold in the bathroom under peeling wallpaper, the water temp went from luke warm to scalding and back again during every shower, rooms and hallways hot and musty, carpets stained, furniture is old, remote for the TV didn't work unless 1 foot away. I complained about several of these issues (TV, needing mirowave, water temps) they sent a repair man up but he didn't fix anything. Only pluses were location, and the beds were comfy if you don't mind being hot and damp all night.

Stay Away!!!
By Nightfly, 7/11/08
Not a good place if you want quality for your dollar. Needs major renovations. Carpets need to be replaced. The toilet never worked properly, mold on the bathroom tub walls, big black hairs on the bed. Its like the housekeepers were throwing a party and forgot to clean after they left. Very nasty! I expected more out of a Westin than this. p.s. the elevators do not work half the time

old and musty
By Marco, 6/26/08
This hotel is in desperate need of a renovation. The rooms are old, the carpet is worn out, the tv are 15 years old. Nothing great except for the location. However, the Sheraton Suites is one block away and much nicer, newer, rooms are much bigger, and cheaper.

Weekend rates are overpriced
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/13/07
Great location, over-priced for weekend stay with family. Last time I reserved a room via Starwood I spoke with someone in another country who didn't know the first thing about good customer service. He was rude and gave me incorrect information.

Not enough Bang for the Buck
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/2/07
This hotel is great for the location. It is connected to the mall which is good when you want to shop and just have different things to do. Their are numerous little stores, resturants and different things to do this little area. What I dislike about this hotel is the rooms which were disappointing. Everything is a fee here. Bottled water $4.00, no free continental breakfast. Internet $5.99 per half hour... Rooms are over $200.00 a night and no free internet!!! Come on...lightbulbs out in the rooms, elevator uneven when stepping off. Decor on the floor boring...carpet worn out.. Not what I would expect for a Westiin Property. The lobby and front desk was nice though..But don't be fooled..

Sick Building
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/4/07
Of my last four trips to this hotel, I've come home with a bacterial infection 3 times. One trip two times ago, my room smelled like sewer and I asked to be moved. I won't be staying there anymore (first time, shame on you, second time, shame on me, third time, I should be shot)

Good but...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/22/06
It is great rooms and great location but they really are bad service... Their food is good if you are okay with waiting an hour or 2 right when you get in in the middle of the night....... Seems like there is no one there to help and seems very small...... Still a great hotel

What a great place!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/4/05
I loved this hotel, and you can't beat the shopping. Connected to the mall, it makes for a nice relaxing day to not have to fight the traffic. There is nothing bad to say about it!
