Wait until you see the new Hotel!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/3/08
We stay here often but understand the hotel has been sold. At first we thought it was a shame until we heard what will be coming in its place. The new owner (a well respected local builder and hotelier - The Cottage Company) is building The Hotel Janelle, an ultra luxury condominium hotel with and indoor pool, spa, wine and martini lounge and a members only athletic club. People actually buy the suites and use them as much as they wish then rent them to the public like a Ritz Carlton or Four Seasons. We've seen pictures and talked to the developers. This will be over the top! Can't wait to stay in the new property!

Scholarship Retreat Weekend
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/19/05
I stayed as a guest of the Point Foundation at this hotel for the weekend and I was very impressed. The rooms were large with multiple person accomodations (murphy bed and sofa bed in same room!) The room had a kitchenette complete with dishwasher and the bathroom had a tub with jets that massaged my muscles after long days of activities. They also have Gilchrist and Soames bath accessories, which I really like (they smell so good!). The staff is super-friendly and the hotel is in a great location, across from a pharmacy, shops, near the lake and restaurants. The only thing was the shower stall in the corner: the bottom seal of the door must have been getting old because my roommate and I often walked out to a lake of water on the bathroom floor after taking showers. We had to use many of our bath towels to soak up the leaked water-- otherwise, this hotel is a real winner! According to staff, they are about to redo their rooms (new wallpaper and decor), so I am excited for them! Highly recommended.
