Ramada Inn Salina, Salina

Do not stay at this hotel!!! I've stayed at hundreds of hotels and this one is the worst one ever...by far. The hotel is poorly managed. The employees are obviously incompetent to run this hotel. This is evident in the number of complaints on this site and others. We stayed two nights and the room was super hot due to the hotel having a boiler system. They told us that you either get heat or cool. We asked that they turn the boiler off because during that week the teperature outside was around 70 degrees. They turned the boiler off and tried to turn on the A/C but the A/C broke so we didn't get the A/C but at least we got rid of the heat. This place is a real crap whole. We didn't get room service or clean towels even after I complained and the guy said they would get me clean towels. When we got home and I discovered they double billed us on our room, I called and had to leave voice message after voice message on the managers answering machine and she still didn't call me back it took two weeks to get my money refunded and only with constant preasure through repeated phone calls. Our room had mold, it was extremely hot and dirty. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! They do have nice hotels in Salina and you'll pay more but it will be worth it. Trust me.

DONT STAY!!!!! I was there with family this weekend. Yes it is nice to have a place big enough for family functions and to be able to go to your room whenever but.... The hotel is poorly managed. Look at other sites on ratings, the majority of comments are bad, so dont say you were not warned. I believe this represents Ramada as a whole as far as the company reads these sites and lets this continue. The overall appearance on the hotel is dirty, leaking roofs, dirty carpet, linens with holes in them. You cannot control the climate of your room. I had to beg for a fan and sleep with the door open to keep the room at 80 degrees. really had a tempeture gauge. Room got up to 92 degrees. They shut off the a/c units so the a/c controller turns on the heaters in all rooms. At midnight when begging for a fan, there was over 10 rooms present at the desk complaining. I was told I would not get charged but I did. I saw them refund over 10 rooms in 1 hour because of the heat. It was a problem the night before as well. Almost everyone in my family who stayed switched room with noo success. Our bathtub had black mold growing inside the tub, up the walls, shower curtain, around the toilet. I wouldnt even shower in it to cool off. It was obvious it had not been wiped out in months. Molded food was growing in the carpet of our room as well. In the morning the eggs were runny and the spoon I used tasted like soap. This hotel is run down and probably beyond repair. There is so much more and the building should be condemned.

We had book three rooms for last weekend to attend a deployment ceremony for my son. These were booked directly with the Ramada in Salina, confirmed through a telephone call, and secured with my credit card. We even called to get a room number - needed by the Army - for my son to be able to leave the National Guard facility there and was given one. When we got to the hotel around 7 PM they were turning away military families WITH RESERVATIONS. We waited in line for over 45 minutes to speak to a desk attendant who lacked customer service skills. There was a mistake in booking was all that we (and many other military families) were told. We were told that if we go to the Best Western and got rooms that Ramada would comp them for us. When we arrived at the Best Western, the clerk knew nothing about what was going on except that he had a lot of people wanting rooms and thinking they were getting them for free NOT, There is NO manager or assistant manager on duty and none came back during the hour that I waited at Ramada. I stoped by on my way out of town on Sunday to see about getting reimbursed for by rooms at the Best Western -- was told that no manaer was on duty but if I left my receipts she would give them to the manager. It was bad enought that this happeded at all but to happen to many families that would be spending only a few more precious days with their loved ones before they will deploy is unforgiveable. No one from the Ramada has contacted me. I have called their customer care number and reported the incident. .

This might be the filthiest hotel I have seen. It is a disgrace to the Ramada Hotels. They gave us a room in the back where semi truck drivers were parked. You went down a dirty looking hallway and the bed was like cardboard. The shower floor was rusted. We got out of there fast! It looks like a place where bedbugs and rats would feel welcome. I was scared to stay there because of the clientele and the filth!!

The water slide, pool and game room were great for the kids, but the rooms were very musty smelling and one actually had lots of mold growing behind the toilet. We also had to switch rooms due to a sewer issue that caused there to be a very strong smell in the room. Now I have two charges on my credit card that the management won't explain. Stay at your own risk!

the pool and slide kept the kids busy for hours! they loved it and can't wait to go back. free breakfast ia a big plus for a family on a budget. friendly staff. rooms were reasonably priced and clean.

The Ramada is one of the best hotels that my family has stayed in. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. O'Mallay's Pub had live entertainment and the food was wonderful! My family now can't wait to go back next year. I recommend the Ramada to all families!

Got a 15 room block reserved in March for 2 queen beds in every room. Also,asked for the best rate possible. Get to the Ramada and half the rooms on had a king and a pull-out, not what we agreed upon. Then we find out we are paying the most that could be charged for any room. Half of the people in our party checked out after 1 night and moved to another Hotel. That cost the Ramada sevral rooms for the next 2 nights. The management did not seem to care. Found out we could have walked in off the street and got cheaper rooms. So much for reservations and making the "best deal" possible. Don't think this chain will every see our business again.

After staying in this hotel in October, 2006 I aquired bed bugs. Although the hotel admits that they have several rooms that are being treated for bedbugs, I am still trying to get my $700 exterminator bill paid.

The employees were wonderful they took care of my every need. I was having an issue at the time and one employee could tell I was, so they offered some assistance. And Unselfishly took care of my problem without a doubt. One of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. Had everything me or my family could need.
