Loved it!
By vikkif, 09/24/09
We found our room to be immaculate and the view of the river the best. Could have sat and looked out that window all night. The staff was friendly and helpful. yes the parking was about $50, but that is about the going rate in the city hotels. Again, we loved it! Looking forward to our next visit.

Will Not Be Going Back
By Corinne, 08/31/09
The lobby was the best part about this hotel. The room was too small, no cable, no dvd player, no cd player, no microwave - we were charged for the phone call made to valet! The parking was nearly $50!! All in all - I wouldn't recommend it. Overpriced for accomodations and services provided.

Overcharged on Parking!!
By The Brown, 04/09/09
I love the hotel, service was great, but I was overcharged for one single night of parking. I was charged for two nights. Even though my bill, that was slipped under my door just had 1 night on it!! Hmmmm.

don't go (rip off)
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/22/08
The hotel itself is ok, but they rip you off by charging 10 bucks every time you use the Gym. Of course they won't tell you until you actually get there. Unbelievable.

RIP OFF - DO NOT STAY HERE
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/14/08
We stayed at the Westin River North in June 2008 and do not recommend this hotel to anyone! The hotel lost air conditioning, refused to relocate us. The hotel later lost all power, the hotel did not try to contact us - we only found out when we called down when we couldn't watch TV. First they told us, they were just having cable problems. Then when we found out from another guest that they lost power, the hotel refused to help us move us to another hotel. To make matters worse they continued to charge full price for the room. $269, for no air conditioning and power on the hottest day of the year in Chicago. What kind of customer service is that?!

Excellent Hotel
By janine j, 03/27/08
I love this hotel and I will absolutely return there. The only thing that could have made it better was if it was right on Michigan Ave for shopping. That said, it was still an easy walk for a middle aged out of shape woman. I was pleased from the moment I drove up, to the moment I drove away. From the moment I walked in the hotel was beautiful and it smelled great too. The room was very nicely decorated and everything was in superb order. The food from room service was delicious, hot, and served quickly. I loved the touch of an orchid on my tray. I received any service that I requested quickly. Also, the beds really are heavenly and we will probably be purchasing the entire set-up. I highly recommend.

after staying at both WESTINS,this one on the river is by far the better one.i stayed at the one on michigan back in june when the YANKEESwere in town and even some of them were unhappy.the rooms were much bigger, bathrooms too and the lobby and restaurant were very good.it was in a great location for us,across fron HARRY CAREYS,and other places we could walk too.

location was perfect
By sumbba1, 07/06/07
The location was perfect and the staff went out of their way to assist us with information on ski packages, tours and shopping. The service was great! The complimentary breakfast was a real treat and a money saver. We met other guests from all over the United States and enjoyed visiting with them

WOW! It is Great!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/10/06
Perfect and Practical! I love the cleanliness and how clean cut and cutting edge everything there is. I am in the works of planing a sweet 16 for my daughter at that hotel. I LOVE it! I can't wait to go back!

The best sleep
By Foxy, 07/31/06
I loved the location and feel of the suite after a very entertaining night on the town. I am from Chicago and have lived here all my life. It never crossed my mind to spend time at a hotel for no apparent reason. The idea came to me from a man who works at this hotel, but I won't put him on blast right now. I have been to hotels here but never spent the night. This will be a great experience!!
