To begin with, I booked reservation online with orbitz.com. Orbitz gave the confirmation page, I printed it took it in. Room I asked for was one queen with sleeper sofa..didnt get it. Then the remote didnt work, there were only (count em if you want to waste money and book this hotel) 5 freekin channels. Next, the beds were hard Im talking hard like sitten in a wooden chair all night. My boyfriends neck hurt so bad we had to go home and couldnt even go to the theme park. I was soo hot about that. Then to top it all off I checked out of the hotel and went home to look at my bank statement to find that I had been charged by the hotel twice! I called girl was suppossedly transferring me to a manager. ...DEAD AIR. call back and the employee pedro...HUNG UP IN MY FACE.. i call back...he then screamed at me ..and refused to give me adequate info. So then i call orbitz they call the hotel and are given the run around then i call my credit card company and they said the old would stay for 90 DAYS unless the hotel released it. I finally got a hold to Johnny the alleged hotel manager and he wasnt helped he claimed that there was no hold but he went in and deleted all the ones he had. Again if you claim you dont see a hold..HOW DOES THAT HELP ME. He then went on to state that if I didnt have my money in 3 to 5 biz days he would personally give me my money... then he corrected himself and said I will personally do something for you. So i think it would be safe to assume he isnt really too concerned. Also, the general manager is suppossedly never there or in a meeting. So they all absolutely refused to give me any way to speak with him. Bottom line is Im going to complain as loud and as much as I can and I hope Mr. Pedro and Mr. Johnny Chavez both lose there jobs. They made riu orlando hotel a horrible expeirence and I wouldn't even recommended this hotel to my worst enemy. Im also considering calling the news and making a complaint... they love to call people out... I public to be fully aware before going to that HORRENDOUS hotel. Not only was the expience bad, but the service was also. It is very unproffesional not to be able to talk to a manger concerning your problems, and its flat not right they get paid to do a job and they DO NOT DO IT.
