Good Choice!
By SimsburyFreecycle, 12/31/09
I didn't stay here (I actually live in town), but I attended a wedding (which was done very nicely, by the way). While on the dance floor, I ripped the seam of the crotch of my suit pants from stem to stern! Yikes! Just by chance, I went to the front desk to see if they have any of those complementary sewing kits thinking I could quickly sew my pants in the Men's room. Not only were they happy to give me a sewing kit (after a few chuckles about the situation, of course), they gave me a key to one of the vacant rooms saying this would give me more space to work on my sewing project! Wow - talk about going above and beyond the call of duty. Because of this experience, I suggest my out-of-town guests choose Simsbury Inn rather than one of the other ones that are nearby (especially Avon Old Farms Hotel...too many bad experiences there!). By the way, the rooms are very nice, comfortable and quiet, the restaurant there is wonderful, and the service (obviously) is top notch.

The Perfect New England Getaway
By Heather, 10/03/06
I had a wonderful weekend at this hotel- from the picturesque winding roads leading through small-town Connecticut right up to the welcoming fireplace in the lobby, this was a great place to spend a fall weekend! Not to mention the 10 pillows on my canopy bed! Romance at its' finest.
