BEWARE: DOO NOT HONOR CONTRACTS FOR EVENTS
By Michael, 08/14/09
We contracted with this hotel and a week before our event and the arrival of our approx 400 guests we were sent an email and an addendum to our contract asking us to sign the paper that said the hotel could charge our credit card whatever amount they chose above and beyond the actual dollar amount we spent. When we refused to change the terms of our contract they refused to honor the contract as is, thinking they had leverage to get us to sign the Addendum since our event was just days away. They called the hotel next door and told them not to do business with us and told our hotel guests who called our event was not happening there. They refused to put our food order in unless we gave them an extra $10,000 - yes extra on top of the costs of our event! Two days befor eour event we had to call all of our guests and tell them we were moving to another hotel. When we told this to our attorney he said he had a client who had had an event there a year prior and was still fighting with them over $10,000 of charges they padded the bill with. You have been warned. If you want your event to go smoothly, and want peace of mind that what you agree to in your contract with the hotel is what will transpire, don't even consider this hotel as a meeting space.

Very cozy, as expected
By TrumpC, 02/26/09
I especially enjoyed the food while I was there. I didn't have time between meetings to go out and their service was right on par. I also found http://www.intercontinentallosangeles.com/ helpful before my trip.

We Love This Place!
By Lawrence, 10/10/07
The Park Hyatt in Century City is our hotel of choice when we visit Southern California. The location is great, close to the beach, Beverly Hills, Farmer's Market, Melrose Avenue, Hollywood and more. My partner and I have always found the staff to be very helpful and courteous. The King Suite is perfect for two people with a sitting room, separate bedroom and bath. The hotel and grounds are beautiful. Parking is a little pricey but the attendants are great. Room service is prompt and our orders are always perfectly filled. The Park Hyatt is the best place to stay in Los Angeles!

Nice Place
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/20/07
I read many reviews online about many hotels and was nervous about staying here and actually picked another place to stay. A co-worker had stayed here and said I would love it and I did. I am a very picky person and germ a phobe. It was very clean and neat. The staff was great. My Aunt lost her Mont Blanc pen which we never thought she would get back and it was found in the lobby by a staff member and turned in to security. I would definitely stay here again.

terrible birthday
By judith, 08/28/07
valet crashed my car, need i say more? and the only thing managment did to make up for it was give my fiance and i each a 30 dollar gift cert for the restaurant on site and take 50 off our entire stay of there, we stayed two nights and first off, the reservations were suppose to be for Aug 24 but were not so we had to pay full price for a small suite. I work for a hotel where the suites are 100 percent nicer(clean, huge jaquzzi tub, two fire places, full bar, just beautiful all around) for half the price of Intercontinental. It was my fiances birthday and this hotel ruined our stay entirely. Most horrible experiance, I will never stay here again.

Impressive Intercontinental
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/19/07
Stayed here when it was a Hyatt, recently went back. Most of the staff is the same. Great people and always willing to help, not like the L.A. snobs you get everywhere else. Fantastic location, intimate luxury and killer service. Great food too, they told me a new chef is coming, can't wait to go back and see what he does! I really recommend this hotel if you have business in the area, or for high-end travel. Probably not the best place if you have little kids though. My first Intercontinental, a good start!

Great hotel, don't eat there.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/06/07
Stayed here when it was the Park Hyatt on a package that included free breakfast each day of our stay. The room was amazing - we stayed in a suite that contained multiple phones, a great stereo and our own FAX machine. Our balcony had a great view of the Hollywood hills and Griffith Observatory. The valets are also very quick with your car - we once had only 20 minutes to get our car and drive to Hollywood for a meeting, and made it in plenty of time. We only ate breakfast one day of our stay as frankly the service was a bit slow and the food wasn't very good - it just wasn't worth the time invested even though it was free. What WAS stunning was what the price would have been if we had PAID to eat breakfast there - well over $20 per person for generic food. I can't imagine staying anywhere else in Century City - the hotel is GREAT - but don't eat there.

Park Hyatt Hotel in Los Angeles
By polybisexual, 01/25/07
A great place to spend time at when you're visiting the West Coast. I think the place is in a pretty good setting and overall I think it's a great place to just relax and have fun.
