Not Recommended, needs major renovations

I defintely would not recommend the Four Points Cherry Creek. Compare to other four points I've stayed at, this hotel is sub-par.
My husband and I stayed for 4 nights during the month of October and were shocked to find that we could not control the temperature of the room. The heat was turned on and we had to open the windows just to even attempt to get comfortable. Both my husband and I ended up sleeping on top of the sheets, with the windows open, not sleeping at all due to the unpleasantness with the room and the terrible street noise (sirens going by all night).
After complaining the next morning, we were told there was nothing they could do about the heat, but they offered to switch us to the non-street side of the hotel. We gladly packed and moved and we were able to get by the rest of the time.
The interior of the hotel is also not impressive. The lobby is sparsely furnished and not inviting. The staff also was not very friendly. Our room was terrible except for the recently upgraded beds which made the stay barely tolerable. The ceilings still sport popcorn, the wallpaper is tacky, the carpets are worn, the walls are thin, and the bathrooms need some serious updating. There are signs in the bathrooms to keep the door ajar to avoid the fire alarm going off. Also, our toilet paint was scraped at the bottom of the bowl which meant we had to stare at a bunch of brown spots, which although probably clean, it was not very attractive.
If you are unlucky enough to have noisy neighbors, you will be able to hear them all night, the walls are thin. Also you can hear doors slamming in the hallways very easily.
I picked this place because we thought Cherry Creek was the high-end part of Denver. Do not be fooled, this is located on a busy street in the not so upscale part of town. (next to Target)....
Overall not impressed, we would not ever waste our money again unless they completed some major renovations.
