Not all Embassy Suites are created equal
Pros:
Very efficient staff, and place is clean. They had security staff wandering around 24/7 which kept down ruckus and was comforting. Full made to order breakfast and evening free drinks and snacks are second to none. Rooms are spacious. Minutes to Kings Island and Cincinnati Mills Shopping mall. The sauna actually worked which is a hotel irregularity for all of the one's i've stayed at.
Cons:
Place was packed when we were there and you'd think they can handle the crowds if they have the rooms for them. If you don't get down to breakfast by 630a, the lines are way too long. I guess everyone is going to K.I. at 10am. If you stay 3 days, you are about sick of all that eating- because you feel you are due that since it cost so much to stay there. Elevators were very slow, in fact, I was on the 4th floor and took the stairs because of the wait.
Tried like crazy to get double beds but had to go with the pullout couch and single King size--kids didn't care, but it wasn't the most comfortable in the world. That should have been a sign they were filling up rooms. I've been to 3 Embassy Suites and this was the least desirable, but still the ambiance of the atrium, the river with fish and turtles is nice to look at.
I would recommend it for no more than two nights, but I could have stayed at another hotel suite for a lot less and skip the big breakfast which my kids would not eat anyway except the donuts. Hotel is not within walking distance of anything with it being in the middle of the business district.
