Very Nice Place for Couples
By Belinda, 08/28/09
My boyfriend took me to the Chairman Towers for my Birth Day and it was Fabulous!! The room ws decorated contemporay which I like alot. There was a fee to get into pool which at first I did not agree with but for a facility that size it was justified. There were plenty of places to window shop and eat plenty of drinking holes. There were lots of families the week-end we went so maybe it is family friendly? The staff was very accommadating when asked for additional services. Note don't forget your toothbrush, bc they donot give out any. I would recommend this place in a heartbeat!!

Didn't like it
By Dave, 04/09/09
We rented a suite in the original tower. Got to the room, it was nothing like what the pictures showed online. The carpet was nasty, you had to keep shoes on because it was so gross. The shower didn't work. Heat and AC didn't work. The jacuzzi tub didn't work properly and it took 2 hours to drain after we attempted to use it. The bathrooms were really, really old. Looks like the original toilets since the hotel opened. We called the front desk to ask if we could be moved. The front desk agent was very rude to us. When we checked in she was bubbly and nice to the (non-white) people in front of us, but when we got to the line her sweet attitude turned into nastiness. I felt she was racist and we were discriminated against. The view in the room was not good. We asked to be transferred she said they were completely sold out. We called the reservation desk an hour later and asked to book 20 suites for the same day and they said no problem. Just overall the old tower really sucked. It's nothing like the pictures and the staff was very rude.

LIKE OMG THE MOST BEST PLACE EVERRRR
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/14/09
Like oh my gawd...I went there with my husband Ronald and we had the best time EVER! While he was at the tables I found the sexiest massage therapist and totally asked him to come up to my room and give me a personal massage! Well he did and let me say I never had better in my life! Im going back without my deadbeat husband! YES!!!

I will never go back
By Sara, 11/14/08
The Taj Mahal was not a good experience. Upon booking over the phone, was quoted at a lower rate than what I was charged upon checkout. Additional services were billed to the room when that was specifically not what was asked. After leaving the Taj, it was nearly impossible to get someone in account receivable to return a phone call. I was told my credit card would be credited within 5-10 business days and a very nice woman apologized for the inconvenience. I still have not been credited and I have been unsuccessful at resolving this issue with any of the staff at the Taj, as their frequent response is that they will have someone return my call, which has not happened even once!

Great stay
By JackL, 08/20/08
Got a good Internet deal with AAA discount, so I stayed here two nights. Arrived Sunday, they had very late check-in time, but they let me check in several hours early. (Later, they let me check out a few hours late as well.) Room was a good size, clean, very nice bathroom, flatscreen TV, comfortable bed, and a great ocean view. Needed a few things from guest services, and the agent was very helpful and friendly even though she was from New York. Couldn't afford the restaurants so I ate dinner and breakfast at the buffet, which were both excellent. Very convenient location right on the boardwalk; read a few reviews complaining about riff-raff being attracted from the boardwalk, but I didn't see any signs of that aside from lots of people, sitting on the outside steps leading from the conference room level to the boardwalk, eating funnel cake and blocking most of the steps. I only really had one complaint, which was that on Sunday night there was a live concert on a small stage located right next to the blackjack tables where I was playing; music was bad hip-hop type stuff, and it was so loud we had to shout just to hear each other at the table. I find it inexplicable that they'd design the casino that way, and continue to blow out gamblers' eardrums with this "music." Nevertheless, I had a great stay, was very satisfied, and would go back without a second thought.

I've been going here for 10+ years! Been around to all the rest but still keep coming back. Don't listen to all the complainers, some are never happy!

Horrible Service - Dont Stay in the Hotel - but a good place to gamble
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/25/08
The rooms are dirty and old (the elevator stinks), they dont have complimentary stuff for the business travelers (like toothpaste etc), the food is bad and overprice - the only good thing at Trump Taj was the Casino which had a good crowd. The frontdesk manager Cindy and her staff were not helpful. DON'T STAY HERE!!

i liked the way we we were treated when we checked in. my wife, my sister and myself. line was long but moved fast had 6 staff checking people in. needed 2 connecting rooms and received with no problem at all. rooms were clean, water was hot, drains worked well and plenty of towels.had to wait for one room received one at once second room was ready a short time later, no problem. i have been staying here for the last 10 years and have always had a nice time. my wife and sister feel the same as me. i will continue to stay at the taj.

My Home Away From Home
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/18/08
We have been going to the TAJ for years (over 10 years), and we love the place, love the redecorating that has taken place of the past few months. We love our host, she has been very good to us and is always very pleasant even when she is very, very busy. Love the food at Sultan's Feast, steaks the way you want them, and the desserts are to die for. Of course we are usually comped for our rooms and food when we go, but wished we could get a suite once in a while. We used to get bumped up to a suite, now you have to get on a list and get approved to get a suite. outside of that the rooms and nice and the beds are comfortable now that they have put pillow top mattresses, the other beds were too hard. And we also noticed that the double beds are slightly larger then before, since we cannot always get a king size bed. Now for the smoking aspect, I am a smoker, why can't there be more rooms for us smokers. This makes my husband happy to have a non-smoking room, but he would not mind if we could get a smoking room, I miss that first cigarette in the morning, have to wait to get to the casino floor to have that smoke, but it is no big deal really.
