NIGHTMARE HOTEL. BEWARE I stayed here involuntarily - my client booked this room for me and it was close to the job location, so I had NO choice. This has been by far the WORST hotel and the WORST room I had ever stayed in. First of all, Shrewsbury is "bum fu&k" lowliest town on earth. Then, the hotel itself is next to some very industrial little businesses....in the middle of nowhere. The hotel room itself was AWFUL. The carpet crunched from the dirt (like little cinders). There were at least 3 huge spiders, one on the bed. The dirty tub had hair in it that I really didn't want to see, I immediately started sneezing from the musty/damp smell...Cigarette burns on the bedding, dirty bathroom, bugs, broken hardware. Even toilet paper holder was broken. There were people hanging out in the parking lot all night - yelling, banging on doors, revving up their cars, verbally fighting etc... I decided to stack the table and chairs next to my room's door - thinking they were going to break in and slit my throat. When I checked in, there were very shady Frankestein-looking men were walking around hallway in the wee hours of the night (I got there late due to work). Very scary. I'd leave and get another hotel room if I wasn't so tired. In the morning, I turned on water and it was orange. I let it run for a while to get the rust out of the water. One hour later and the water's still orange. Did I mention I couldn't use my blanket because it was dirty. Instead, I decided to use the two large towels. Then 2 mins later realized they are also dirty and used my long maxi dress to cover myself instead. Late at night, I heard that same large group of men fighting outside. Because I hardly slept on the 2nd night due to all the commotion, I woke up at 10:30am on the day of checkout. At exactly 10:55 there was an Indian guy knocking on my door saying "M'am, you have to check out now". Surprised, I asked why as I wasn't ready yet. He said the checkout time is 11am. Then he literally stood by my door for 15 mins until I left. Very rude and unprofessional. What did he think, that I'd want to stay in this shithole permanenty? When I went to check out, there was police tape around my end of the parking lot and I had to walk around the building the other way. I wonder what happened at night.... I took the name of the manager and will be writing to Days Inn headquarters about this experience because it was a NIGHTMARE. I will also post this on as many sites as I can whenever I find some time.

The Days Inn in Shrewsbury is the worst motel I have ever stayed in. There were burn marks on the rugs, no heat in the room, the water was too hot to take a shower and the place was just dirty. The staff didn't clean my room and the person at the front desk never smiles. If you don't like your job, quit.

The hotel was 30 miles away from the airport, not the 9 miles advertised. Beds were small, hotel staff extremely unfriendly. When I checked in the staff at the Front Desk acted liked I was bothering him, did not ask if I needed help with the bags, or any type of normal hotel welcome. In general, hotel was in poor condition. For example, when it rained the hallway carpet began to bow up and smell, which in time, made the room smell.

These people went way out there way to make sure everything was perfect. I was there in a snowstorm, ATMS were not even working and the desk clerk offered me cash to make sure I had food to eat now thats something. The room was spotless and I am picky. The rooms are a tad old but for the price and cleanliness this is a great place to stay ...Hats off to you all, you made my trip very special
