Super 8 Motel College Park, Indianapolis

When I travel I have always looked for a Super 8 Motel because they were known for being a decent motel at a reasonable price. - I thought the price at this motel was to-good-to-be-true so I took the time to read alot of the reviews and I thought it was safe choice - I am here to tell you BEWARE!!! I will not looked for or stay at another Super 8 Motel ever again!!! This is by far the nastiest motel that I have ever stayed at. When we checked in I was already to checkout - I recieved the card keys for room #201 and the lock would not open - so I went reported the problem to the front desk clerk and he gave me two new cards - the lock still did not work - so I went back to the front desk and reported the problem to the the motel clerk again - he came out and tried to open the lock and he could not - so he asked if I would mind the 3rd floor which I had no problem with - that took about 45 minutes of our time. When we checked into room #311 I wanted to leave immediatly - but I did not because I was on a strict budget and figured that you get what you pay for - so I stuck it out. So, I took my two boys (9 & 12 years old) out on the town and visited the place that brought us to the Indianapolis area (The Indianapolis Speedrome to watch the World Figure 8 Championship) - when we came back at 11 P.M. I noticed that the security door did not shut completely - I did not feel very secure! When we went to bed I took off the top layers of bedding and one of the beds looked as if it had not been changed in a month - as I was taking of those nasty sheets to put my own sheets on - I FOUND PUBIC HAIRS ALL OVER THE BOTTOM SHEET!!! - I was totally grossed out - but I figured that I would changed the sheets and we would be fine - and we were. O.K. that grossed me out so I went to Walgreens and bought a can of Lysol Disinfectant and sprayed the entire room, shower, toilet, remote controls and any and everything that our bodies might touch. As we lay down to watch television before going to sleep the t.v. signal would keep going in & out (a few minutes on and then a few minutes off)the satellite dish must have been loose or something. - that was so bothersome I just turned the t.v. off! In the morning I took a shower after spraying down the tub with the Lysol that I had purchased form Walgreens. - would'nt you know as I was showering the darn tub did not drain properly and I was up to my ankles in scummy tub water. - that was it I had to say something and I did'nt care how cheap the place was - It was down right NASTY and I wanted someone to hear my complaint. When I told the clerk at front desk in the morning of 9-6-08 she responded by saying... O.K. - well that comment made me a little pissed off and that prompted me to call Super 8 Motel customer service - so far no response! Do yourself a favor - if you are on a budget spend a few more dollars somewhere else. DO NOT stay at the Super 8 Motel College Park in Indianapolis, Indiana I personally stayed at Baymont Inn & Suites in Indianapolis, Indiana (off I-465 and Brookville Rd.)

I read the reviews before renting, but the last one was written a year ago, this place must have changed owners since, the carpet looked like it hadn't been vaccuumed in a couple weeks, the room was just overall dirty, ants all over the night stand....bathroom had dirt and hair in the corners, bathtub used to have a sticky matt that had been removed, and was gray in the bottom,complimentry shampoo had been opened, just bad, bad housekeeping, room painted a dark ugly blue, that needs another coat, security door to outside didn't shut, and didn't work...just dingy...know it's not the Holiday Inn, but it should be clean.

I just spent (3) days at this hotel, and I was very pleased with it. It is in a great location (several restaurants nearby), is clean, quiet and the service is great. Nonetheless, I will be returning to this Super 8...

Located near good eateries and some shopping. Easy access. Accomodated request for earlier Continental breakfast due to Mini-Marathon participation. Somewhat slow on check-in due to only one clerk on duty.

We really enjoyed our week-long stay at this hotel. The room decor was about what you would expect for the price, but the bed was extremely comfortable. What really made this hotel stand out, though, was the service. It was unbeleivable! We took a red-eye flight in, and they allowed us to check in at 8am instead of the standard 3pm check-in time. Then we received a call in our room a few minutes later asking if everything was to our liking. We said it was, but we could us a few more pillows. Not five minutes later, a housekeeper was at our door with three more pillows. Our entire stay was like this! Customer service is, sadly, a dying art, but this hotel is a shining example of how to do things right.

My wife and I were visiting friends in the St Louis area and spent two nights here. The room was very nice. Very comfortable king size bed, and everything was new and clean. The continental breakfast was good,nothing spectacular, but it was all we wanted. I loved the availability of the two computers with internet access. It made it easy to plan the next leg of our trip, and make another reservation
