Clarion Suites Augusta, Augusta

On my stay, the Clarion used Tudor's Cleaners for the valet laundry service. I gave my laundry (all machine washable items) to the front desk. I requested laundry services and to my shock, when the items were returned some of the items were dry cleaned and the valet ticket had been changed to reflect dry cleaning. When I asked the front desk why this had been changed without my consent, they called the cleaners and put me on the phone with Stephanie. Stephanie proceeded to tell me that she made the determination to change my request and when I told her that I did not agree with the practice of changing a customers request without notification she went on a tirade and began yelling that she had been doing this for 6 years and I was not to tell her how to do her job. When I asked to speak to her boss, she hung up on me. The Manager at Clarion was very helpful and provided me with the name of Stephanie's boss. For the next several hours, I attempted to contact John, who was not in on any of the attempts. Stephanie continued to be rude. When I called one time she hung up on me again when I asked when John could be expected to be in. I called back and and she proceeded to tell me that she had already explained the issue to John and that he did not care about my complaint and he agreed with her. She continued to scream at me and say that she knows her materials and did what is best for the fabrics. I told her that the labels on the clothes clearly say "machine washable" and she said that she doesn't read the tags, she knows her materials. When I made the statement that it was obvious that she did not read the tags she called me a "smart ass" and again hung up the phone. I contacted Clarion back and told them that the woman at the cleaners they contract has now resorted to cussing their customers. The Manager apologized and stated that they were not going to charge me the difference for the price of the dry cleaning and the General Manager would address all issues with the owner of the cleaning service. I hope that Clarion finds a new cleaning service that believes in customer service. It is very evident that Tudors Cleaners does not believe in customer service and has a very unprofessional staff. Stephanie claims to be the manager. I will never use this cleaning service again and will share my experience with everyone I know. As for the Clarion staff, they were very professional and went out of their way to resolve the issue in an appropriate manner. I am pleased with their handling and they show that they care about their customers and stand by the principles of customer service.

I was in Augusta visiting my husband for a few days (He's stationed there with the military), and we booked a 1 BR Suite and it was better than we thought. The bed was comfortable, and the suite was very clean. The front desk was very helpful. The pool was really nice. I may be going back to visit soon.

The loby is great, the customer service is second to none, the rooms look great at first blush, The beds are very very very comfortable. The rooms show signs of long term wear. Not the worst, but by no means a 4 star,

The suites are a nice size and the beds were comfortable, refridgerator and mircrowaves in rooms. They have a nice lounge area, you get 2 free drinks of your choice for happy hour 5-7pm. They have a very good breakfast, that in itself is worth the price.Grits, bacon, sausage, eggs, waffles, home fries, cereal, fruit and juices, It's in a good location easy ascess to highway and bowling center.

Convenient location for Augusta National Country Club on Washington Road, Room was satisfactory. Food service fine. It served it's purpose as a place to stay at while attending the Master's Tournament. The Hotel was not spectacular but was comfortable.

A group of us stayed here 7/17 to 7/22/07 for a softball tournament. Every one of us had problems with our stay. Rooms are dirty. Carpet is extremely dirty. mildew on shower curtain. Smelly rooms, AC not working, ants. Little if any housekeeping during our stay. Making the bed is their idea of cleaning the room. They do not change the sheets, clean the bathroom or vacuum the carpet. The staff is extremely rude and unprofessional. We had to beg for towels and did not get any at all for 2 days of our stay. Front desk staff actually suggested it would be faster to go to Kmart and buy our own towels. No extra sheets, blankets or pillows for the pull out couch. No light bulbs. Some rooms with no smoke detector. Management does not care about the guests problems and will not return phone calls. The elevator apparently has not been cleaned since before previous review by ANON who stayed in Feb 2007. It is still disgusting and smelly. Please stay at a nearby hotel instead.

Great Customer Service-Good Food-Good Location-Great Housekeeping service overall the best hotel I have ever stayed at. They treated me like I was the only customer at the hotel.

Everything. The staff was great the breakfast was worth it all alone. It was the best breakfast I ever had full hot breakfast included in the room rate. GREAT!!!!

We have stayed here at least 1 night per week during May 2007, and also for several nights in May 2006. DISMISS THE PRE-2007 BAD REVIEWS- THEY ARE NO LONGER VALID! This was originally a Radisson. In the past year, the name changed from Augusta Suites to Clarion Inn, and a massive renovation was undertaken. We have found our rooms to be very comfortable- they are large, with big bathroom countertops, soft and comfortable beds (& towels), and amenities of refrig,mw,coffeemkr,iron,pool, on-site laundry. The evening mgr reception is nice, with two free drinks apiece, and a very good, complete breakfast is served, including our favorite- waffles. The staff has been very friendly and responsive, with cookies, fruit, and free newspaper at the desk. A free visit to a very good fitness center is available. Rates are very reasonable compared with comparable facilities in the area. A large eatery selection is close, and it is in close proximity to I-20 & The Masters course. We are glad to recommend this inn.

The suite had a lot of maintenance issues. The elevator to the back parking lot was disgusting, almost to the point you did not want to get in it.
