Marina Holiday Resort & Spa, Islamorada

If you're just looking for location: it's okay. As far as anything else goes, it was very disappointing. We had to be moved 3 times. Twice in 1 day because the 2nd room we were given flooded. They were not at all concerned about our situation. After "discussing" the situation, they finally moved us to another room. The manager was not at all sympathetic with any of our complaints--ie. 1st room - no door or curtain for the shower (they taped and nailed a bed sheet for us)-the shower ceiling was full of mold-broken tiles in shower-only 1 light in the room-2 queen beds in a room made for 1 bed- 2nd room we were only in for about 2-3 hrs before it flooded from the rain (front to back water)-no one ever came to the room to even look at it - finally after asking quite a few times they finally found another to move us to--3rd room the bathroom door would not stay closed (that's all that was wrong with that room) - After all this, we were told they will be renovating the building we stayed in. Overall, the manager needs to be more concerned about the guests needs and requests. He had all he could do to come out and speak with us. I feel they are very overpriced for what their website offers. I will never go back or recommend this hotel even after their renovations. I would not even consider this a hotel but a motel instead.

We booked a fishing package and got a great price for our rooms. The staff were great from start to finish ! The entire resort was clean and everthing was in working order. I was impressed and would do it again ! The marina personnel were very friendly, professional and organized. We were lucky enough to get Captain Easy & his assistant Mike. The Capt. put us on the fish and Mike got them in the boat ! It was the best fishing experience I'll probably ever have !

If you notice the dates on the previous reviews they date back at least 2 yrs. This used to be our Paradise until the city starting getting rid of the local businesses that added so much charm to the the resort and surrounding area & till they decided to sell the resort and make condos out of the hotel buildings. While negotiating they let the place run down and when it was finally decided they wouldnt sell after all they started to build it back up. Unfortunately too much damage had been done to the rooms. The customer service there now sucks!! and they try to over charge for any ol room. We have been staying at Pelican Cove next door where everything is clean and the people are nice and just walk over to Tiki Bar & Run Runners next door. Best of both worlds.

We had a reservation at another hotel down the road but it was dicusting!!!! so we got our money back and drove to Hoilday isles. Thank God!!! We walked in with no reservation and got a room for even less per night and a million times better!!!The room was very clean and cooled to 70 degrees, nice! Newly remodeled big bathroon, big screen t.v., comfortableking size bed with soft sheets. It even had a balcony with table and chairs. we were on the 2nd floor and could see the ocean from the balcony. W stayed two nights and were very happy with the hotel staff, and our room. Best of all the hotel is next door to rum runners!!!

There are so many reasons I love thise place. I had been going there since I ws really little,. I haven't been there since 1996. My grandparents took us there every Christmas for a week. The Beach is absolutly wonderful, They play Jimmy Buffett all day long, they also have a reggae band that performs regularly. they have several bars, The one taht I remember most is The World Famous Tiki Bar with their Wonderful tropical concoctions, My Favorite The Pina Colada. There is much to do, They have Fishing, a Dive Shoppe(so you can buy a mask and snorkel and go out to the reef 200 yards away,, Restaurants, A beutiful pool, a play ground for the kids, Parasailing, and you can rent Jet Skis, Wave Runners, Big Floaty Rafts, and Kayaks.I remember at night we used to walk the beach/waterfront with a halogen flashlight and catch a glimpse of teh sea creatures in the water. Or if you are like me, I recommend the Beautiful sandy Beach. Lazin around listening to the waves, or your Walkman with a tropical drink melting in your hand, Now if you want to go to get a way from it all....go down to Kokomo.

Everyone was so friendly it truly is the place to be if your visiting the keys!! My best friend and I are planning another trip soon to come.

View was nice, But my Dell MP3 player came up missing. When I informed Mr. David E. LaRochelle about missing player he treated me like I was the thief and he washed his hands of the situation.
