Could not find better deal!
By jean-francoisC, 3/23/08
We just spent 3 days in LA/ Santa Monica and staid at this very nice hotel. Found it on internet, called for a special rate ("suite deal") as we were tarveling as family (parents and 3 children age 11, 17, 17). A suite there was cheaper than 2 rooms in any acceptable hotel around... and it was definitely big enough so the big kids were not on top of each other. The living room is definitely large enough. And the ocean view as a bonus! Separate bedroom for us very comfortable. Met another quite family (smaller kids) traveling from Switzerland that loved the place too. The staff was genuinely nice (most of the customers are business people but the staff was helpful with all of us too), breakfast very good (large portions too so kids could share). The hotel was renovated last year and the rooms, beds, sheets, bathroom, etc were just great. Again, the location is great, right by the beach and some shopping are... minutes from the Getty Villa, etc... Very relaxing 3 days with the whole family. We definitely recommend the hotel

We LOVED it!
By Mark, 8/21/07
Never having been to the LA area left me a little worried about where we were going to stay. We chose Santa Monica since we heard it was "family oriented", and we were very pleased. The Georgian Hotel was a very nice hotel and well decorated. Staff was very friendly and helpful with info (bus, restaurants, etc). I believe the price we were quoted for the night was about $240 but with the parking fee and other taxes brought it to about $300/night. It was a little expensive but you couldn't beat the location. Having drinks on the front porch overlooking the ocean was great. We had an easy walk to the 3rd St. Promenade and the pier. We had an ocean view room without requesting or paying for it. The room was very nice, quiet and clean. Overall I am glad we selected the Georgian Hotel. (Mark from Pennsylvania)

Charm, history & value all in one!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/16/07
After going to see every other hotel in Santa Monica, no other can match "The Georgian" for location, charm and value. We stayed for 4 days in an ocean view suite for less than the cost of a standard room for one night at the Del Mar. The room was spectacular, totally updated but completely in tune with the original art deco architecture of the 1930's. The veranda is a wonderful place to have breakfast, lunch or just sit and watch the sunset as the world strolls by.

Can't go wrong here!
By Glenn, 5/26/05
This is great hotel, excellent service and staff and...the view! There's nothing better than having breakfast out on their front porch, gazing across the street at the Pacific. The location is second to none and the rooms are cozy and include amazingly comfortable beds! Whenever I come back to Santa Monica I will stay here.

Great place to stay in Santa Monica
By KC, 5/17/05
We rented an ocean-view suite here and we loved the spacious, neat room. We chose a suite because we were travelling with our baby son and wanted room for his portable crib, and for him to crawl around and play. The room had plenty of space, and after he went to sleep, we could close the doors to the bedroom and not disturb him. The staff was very helpful and attentive, which mitigated the inconvenience of the stairs we had to move our stroller up to get in and out. Breakfast service was a bit slow but the food was good. The location is ideal for a Santa Monica trip. It's just a couple of blocks to the Pier or the Promenade, easy walking distance for entertainment or eating out. We will definitely stay there again on our next trip.

Can't beat the location
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/20/04
Charming boutique hotel with rich history and totally helpful staff. Get ocean view room! It's totally worth it. I shopped other hotels and their prices for the similar room (even partial ocean view) were rip off. I got the best deal on the hotel's web site. Beach is across the street, Promenade around the corner, pier 5 min. walk. I also rented the car from hotel pretty cheap. Public transportation in LA sucks, so definitely rent a car or sign up for tours.
