Barcelo Montelimar Beach All-Inclusive, Cambrils

We made the mistake of going during a national holiday weekend. Came in on a Wed - place was quiet, serene. By Friday through Monday hundreds of people descended on this place. You could not escape the noise, the crowds, the incessant blasting music from every drink bar - so totally annoying. By Tuesday and Wednesday (the day we left), it was back to an enjoyable place. I got sick on day 3, but not surprised. When hundreds of people are touching every spoon and ladle and no organized sanitation like at a resort we stayed at in the Dominica Republic, it is bound to happen. The good points - the staff ROCKS! The wait staff, maids, etc., never stressed out, friendly, and accommodating. Also - the surf ROCKS! Every day my husband said it was better than the prior, better than Hawaii - so he was happy. You need to speak Spanish! Most staff are not bi-lingual. The grounds are very nice, being right on the ocean was good, but they need to pick up the trash on the beach, no excuse for that. They also need to give some kind of preferential treatment to long staying guests over people who are there for the day. For example, when it is that crowded they need to open BOTH restaurants at the same time and manage the buffet lines better. If you go - do it during mid week unless you enjoy massive crowds, lots of kids and absolutely no peace and quiet. This is the 3rd all inclusive we have stayed at, and the least pleasant experience I have had at any of them. With that said, I think if you time it right you can have a very nice experience.....

Tens years ago this was the place to be in Central America, the food was great, really great! Time has taken a toll on this place as far as the dining experience is concerned. The pool is still the best thing about Montelimar. I still go there once a year praying that the coffee is smooth the beaches are clean and that the sun will shine.

From the moment you arrive to end. If you like relaxation, out doors, beach night and day... horse back riding on the shore, dancing, gambling, enjoy great food not like home town buffet! its like choosing from moms nicaraguan upscale kitchen, having a fresh coconut served in pool or jacuzzi. This is just a small idea of what you can enjoy. NOT pricy for what it is worth. pay at entrace including all... ALL meaning entartainment, drinks, food, beautiful view, rooms that are also on beach kind of like jungle/tropical style like a cottage on the beach. Priceless. In comparison to Italy its two different worlds but I have to admit they are neck to neck, I absolutely love Nicaragua Montelimar. It is great for family vaca, kids tour trip vaca, friends vaca escape, couples... young or elder there is so much to do for all. Even my elder parents enjoyed as much as I did. I enjoyed every second even when i was tired of having too much fun i still enjoyed it by watching the sunset laying on a hammack on the beach under a cashew tree, drinking fresh coconut out of the coco. Nothing beats that specially when you dont have to worry about taking a beach chair, the hammacks are there waiting for you. and no it never felt over crowded, it was the best environment, everyone is polite. Very polite and welcoming culture. Great trip for photographers! so many oppurtunities to take the most amazing pictures of just nature itself. Beautifull. Best experience, totally fun, definetly worth my time and money perfect for my budget... actually it was too good to be true for my pocket expense. I reccomend Barcelo Montelimar any time of the year, i missed out on Mangoes and Avacados because they were not in season but now i know and cant wait to make it back. Place is really nice, glad to have a/c as I was staying at a beautiful eco lodge up the beach called Los Cardones and they don't have electricity. I got super sick from the food at Montilamar, still have stomach pain 3 days later. Would never go back because of the food, it is buffet style.

Montelimar Beach is a great beach/resort We have been there three times and it does not get boring. Montelimar has about five differnt pools and they each have their own bars. In the bars you can find french fires, beans, popcorn, small appetizers, and a variety of drinks. There pools are very clean and sanitary. When you go to Montelimar you always want to try to get a cabin that's next to the main pool, becuase its not only next to the main pool, but also the beach and the restaraunt. Last time I went there they did not have any cabins left but the hotel room i got had a nice view of the pools and the beach. The rooms were very comfortable, and the restaraunt is great. The down side is that they have the same food everyday. The beach is nice and clean, and it has awsome waves to surf. The location is very nice and private. I would go their any day.

i love everything the people are so nice the place is like no other place and i have traveled to many places the food was great the activities they do during the day and evening are so much fun its a place you will never want to leave and i will go back soon

Barcelo montelimar in Nicaragua, was our first all inclusive vacation. we enjoy this place very much. After a few days we decided to go to Granada and we hired a taxi that cost onehundred dollars for a seven hour tour to this colonial city. The people that work at the barcelo resort are helpful and always have a smile to greet the guest. The food at the resort is alrigth, with plenty of vegetables,fruits and sometimes good sea food. I recomend this place to families with small children but teenegers tend to get bored after a few days.

After working in the barrio's of Managua, it was very relaxing to be at this beach. Everything we needed was there, plus more.... We will be back!!

I think there is nothing I do not like everything was perfect.the service is exelent people who work there in the restaurants or bars are very friendly and they like to service you i anithing you need. rooms have a lot space and very clean the pool i big and there is a bar in the middle of it. summary: is there are someone who don't like it is because he, she or they haven't been there before. there are a lot of green areas and the beach is wonderful.

I've been there twice and the experience was wonderful. I remember first walking in, the lobby was beautifully decorated at the service was quick and easy. Looking out and seeing all the pools and the Montelimar beach next to it was breathtaking. The location was very convenient. Everything in the hotel was conveniently placed. The biggest pool had a little hut in the middle which had all sorts of goodies such as burgers, hot dogs, and pizza. It made for an easy snack. The room we stayed in was very comfortable. It had everything we needed and everything was very neat and clean. The bathroom was lovely and the commodities that were available were very convenient. The events throughout the day were very fun. They had a few shoes, a wonderful all-you-can-eat buffet, and night-life casino. Overall, I would definetly go here again. Great value and a lot of fun.
