Hotel Description:

Near the historic birthplace of President James Buchanan, the Mercersburg Inn is situated in a breathtaking 20,000 square foot Georgian-style mansion. This turn-of-the-century home still retains such original accents as decorative tile, oak flooring, double-curving wrought-iron balustrades, scagliola columns, and mahogany and chestnut paneling. Each of its 17 guest rooms features a king or queen-size bed, luxury bedding, a private bath, hairdryer, and custom bath accessories. Three guest rooms have fireplaces. Byrons Dining Room is headed by executive chef, Dan Nowalk.

Not for Large Groups

The wait staff does not measure up to the grandure of the Inn. They advertise catering to large groups but are understaffed and the people left to serve, seem to feel very put out to be helpful in the slightest. We left feeling very insulted. Their lack of respect to the paying customer is appalling and it ruined our once in a life time event.

AMAZING!!!!!

We went here for our anniversary. The staff and the owners truely made it an amazing experience. I want to go back now every year!!!! The food was an explosion in my mouth. Everything is homemade. Breakfast was absolutly wonderful as well! I recomend this place to every one i talk to now.
