Treated like dirt

I travel a lot and have never given a place a bad review. I'm a Hilton Honors member because I (used to) stay at Hilton hotels exclusively. I confirmed a 2 room suite at this hotel and arrived just after midnight with my 2 year old. My husband was arriving after the two of us. They told me that they didn't have the room we reserved -- and only had one other 2 room suite, but it was twice as expensive. Despite their error, they would not allow us to stay in that 2 room suite at the same price as our reservation. Then, after 30 minutes of debate as to how to resolve this problem (with an exhausted, crying 2 y/o in tow) they said we could stay in that room for the night, but would have to check out the next night (we'd booked 2 nights). I was told that I had to sign the rate card at double the price quoted, but that the daytime manager would be able to fix it. Needless to say, he refused to make the adjustment. I spoke to the local managers as well as "customer support" for Hilton Honors. Both said they would try to resolve the problem and call me back. Neither did, and the general manager never returned my call either. I was terribly inconvenienced -- also having to change hotels for the second night and interrupting my 2 y/o's nap time due to being forced to check out by noon.
VERY, VERY, VERY RUDE.
