Days Inn Bloomington - Normal, Bloomington

Cigarette burns through bedspread and linens. Cigarette burns through lamp shades. Large dead bugs smashed on the walls. Brown stuff (soda?) sprayed on the entry/vanity lamp. Staff who couldn't care less about the room condition.

Probably one of the worst hotels that I've stayed in. Rooms were in desperate need of renovation. Overall the place was gloomy. Breakfast was an insult.

Stayed in Bloomington for 1 night on 8/26/06. Made reservations through Expedia and paid $56. The hotel clerk told me when I checked in that I should have called direct and could have got a better deal. He asked how much I paid. He didn't have any way to know what Expedia charged me. I told him to tell me what he would have charged and he himmed and hawwed and finally said $57. The place needs some updating and attention. The security lock on the back entrance was not working. The area was covered with weeds generally run down. The bed spread was clean but very fadded and worn out. The room was fairly big for the price. Some of the furniture was in slightly damaged condition, but everything was functional and generally sanitary. I have stayed at the Motel 6 nearby here before and it definately beats the tiny rooms at the motel 6.
