Days Inn Batesville, Batesville

The staff was very friendly and helpful. I was allowed to check in a little early. When i asked for extra towels, they were delivered promptly. The room was very clean and had no odors. I really liked the layout of the bathroom. I was offered a room close to the pool which i also enjoyed.It was top notch. Complaints? I just wish the pool was deeper than 5 feet. It is a great pool for kids, though.

The staff was friendly and the room was clean. The bed was comfy, the water was hot. I had the pool to myself! We left early before breakfast was served, so did not get to evaluate that. But it looked like they had a good set-up. The coffee pot cord was too short to reach any plug-ins near it, so we had to rig up a system of turning a trash container over for a 'temporary table.' Not really a huge deal.

Through our years of traveling my wife and I have expierenced a wide variety of hotel rooms that have ranged from extrodinary to very poor. This hotel is a pet friendly hotel, our reason for staying, and for Batesville that is rare but the room (102) was the most unkept room we have ever stayed in. I bought a small bottle of bleach so my wife could clean the bathroom just so we could use the tub and toilet. I slept in one of our sleeping bags on top of the bed for when I turned down the covers there were many human hairs between the sheets which led me to believe the sheets were not changed. No garbage can liners and of the two rolls of toilet paper the first one had just a sheet or two and then we found the roaches in the morning. The staff was nice but that doesn't excuse the poor houskeeping. The toilet paper dispenser was falling out of the wall and the bathtub drain toggle fell off in my hand when trying to drain the tub. We would not recommend this hotel for anyone, pet lovers or otherwise.
