Choice Inn and Suites, Vancouver

so i went here based on the good reviews and mine was ridiculous. i came down with 4 other girls (oldest is 22 youngest is 17). we arrive at 3:05 and check in is 3. and they didn't have any clean rooms apparently and mixed up our rooms too. the manager was RUDE and said he would "personally call expedia to cancel our reservation for us". when i was talking to him he had be hold a sec to answer a call which is understandable you know. he wanted to know there an there if i wanted to cancel cause "he had rooms to sell" (i had until 6 to cancel w/o penalty from expedia) so in the meantime instead of shopping around and having a little fun in portland us single young 5 girls are calling around looking for a hotel on a friday (hotels are busy fridays cause of travel) the manager also called expedia to have them call me to have the right phone number to cancel our reservation! such hospitality! if i was a crazy psycho with anger problems i would understand but i'm not...i was clearly upset yeah cause this dude was rude but not screaming and causing a huge scene. so we leave shop for a little and finally find one at 9 after calling around and driving around for a good amount of time. no thanks to the lovely manager from Choice Inn and Suites :|

We arrived around 3:00pm to meet with a relative. Made the mistake of not looking at the room first. It had a smell like musty. The TV was not watchable and it was so old and a red screen. I wouldn't want to stay there again. We also paid to much.

For our trip to Vancouver, WA we booked the Days Inn & Suites Salmon Creek. In particular we chose this hotel for its amenities, including 24h pool and breakfast. Unfortunately when we arrived at the hotel, we were informed that they had already been overbooked at the time we made our reservation through an online booking site. They stated that because this site did not provide them any customer contact information, they had been unable to tell us that we needed to cancel the reservation. In an effort to accommodate us, they had booked us a room down the street at a motel. However, this motel was not a similar or satisfactory replacement for the hotel that we booked. The motel was not clean, had water damage, obviously had no breakfast or pool, did not feel safe, didn't even have an iron for us to iron our clothes for the next day, etc. We had to ring a doorbell to awaken someone who lived at the motel to get us our key. It was not the quality of hotel that we paid for or expected. Indeed, looking up their rates suggests that Days Inn actually made additional money off of our reservation by putting us up in a much cheaper location. As this Days Inn location had a form letter for us to take to the motel, it is apparent that this is a common occurrence at this hotel.

Online price was less than what people who walked in the front door were paying, by about $20 per night. Dispute never settled, emails and phone calls not answered. Pool not available. Computers slower than dial-up. Rooms dirty and smelly. Staff unfriendly. This place is falling apart. I stayed there 6 mo prior and it was worse this time. I would rather sleep in my car.

The Comfort Inn sold to Days Inn. I wonder why? I know! Because it is pretty run down and if you reserve a non smoking room be ready to smell smoke mostly everywhere in the hotel room!

The comfort in charges OVER $100 a night, but the quality is of a $65 a night motel. The continental breakfast consists of watered down coffee, juice, and very very plain doughnuts that taste like they've been frozen for months. The only protein is the hard boiled eggs w/ an off taste. Everything looks as if it hasn't been replaced since the early 80's. Our beds weren't fully made and we kept running out of towels. Upon blacklight inspection, the doorknob was very dirty. The soap they give also smelled funny, like it had spoiled. Other family memebers went to the Holiday Inn Express block away, and they said their rooms were nice.

This hotel has an excellent location! The hotel is close to freeway access, restaurants, stores, and everything else that you might need. Hotel is quiet most of the time and the pool facility is wonderful! Also is great for pets and kids ( Huge lawn for pets to go outside and rooms are good size for your pet..... The hotel is very kid friendly with nothing that would harm them!) Breakfast is OK! Also, enjoy coffee 24 hours and really good popcorn after 4:00 PM Whether visiting the area for business or leisure this hotel is the right one for you!

I stayed at this hotel last year for 2 nights. The hotel was clean and the breakfast was good. I plan to stay here again this summer.

This place is wonderful! Staff is very nice and the hotel is very clean! Pool is wonderful and rates are really low. Breakfast is very good and hotel is in great location! I would stay again!!!
