Comfort Inn Smith Mt Lake, Rocky Mount

Not sure why this is called comfort inn smith mountain lake as it is nowhere near the lake it is near the highway in rocky mount. our room smelled of smoke and lysol and was dirty. i slept with one eye open. not a very nice place to stay.

Several members of our family and some friends stayed at the Comfort Inn for 4 days/3nights while visiting to attend my nephews wedding. The place was as clean as anything you would find elswhere. Friendly, hardworking staff went out of their way to make us comfortable. We had plenty of time to spend around the pool and in the lobby that served all day fresh coffee and a nice continental breakfast in the morning. Plenty of cheap food and/or fine dining around.

I stayed at the Comfort Inn with my daughter and did not find the place to be clean, at all. I did not feel safe either. Next time I will stay at the Bed and Breafast in the historic district. The price is about the same (with discount) and you get a full hot breakfast and a much nicer atmosphere. Comfort Inn is okay if you want to smoke in bed and walk to KFC. I would prefer something a little more away from the road and more personal.

I loved the service. Micki is GREAT!!!! Need more people like her. She was very helpful in getting me what I needed and when I needed it with no waiting. I would definately recomment it to others. The only thing I saw wrong was the snack machine area downstairs needs to be remolded and need more of a selection for the kids. The rate I paid was fantastic compaired to where I live. I'm from Charlottesville and visit Rocky Mount often and will stay every chance I get...

June 29, 2005 I would like to stay at your Inn again because my grandson will be attending Ferrum College in the fall and the location of the Inn is excellent. We had asked for a non-smoking room due to his allergies and we were given a smokers room. We didn't realize it until we returned home and unpacked our suitcases. Our clothes reeked with cigarette smoke. Also, the bathroom ceiling in room 120 has mold/mildew on it and the ceiling and walls in the bathroom are covered with nicotine. Also, while showering the bath tub does not drain properly. We would stay again because of the location of the Inn if these things are corrected.
