Never Again
By Dawn, 09/08/09
My sister and I decided on Friday afterenoon that we were going to take a weekend roadtrip to visit the plantation homes in the area (She lives in NW Louisiana, I live in SE Texas). I called this hotel and made a reservation for 1 room. 2 double beds. Smoking. I was given my confirmation number by the young man that took my call. Upon arrival at this hotel at almost midnight, I told the young man my name and that I had a reservation. He replied "One room 2 double beds?" to which I replied, "Correct". He then said "You reserved a smoking room but we dont have any more left" I said "I reserved a 'Smoking' room". he said "Well yea but some other people came in". So what is a reservation for????? Do it NOT guarantee you the room that was available at the time that you called AND gave them your credit card number to RESERVE that specific room? Needless to say I will NOT be reserving a room at Comfort Inn anymore. I do alot of last minute traveling and i cant risk driving for hours only to get to my RESERVED hotel room only to find that "some other people came in" and what I reserved is no longer avavilable.

privacy! We loved it!
By Melanie, 09/06/09
The workers were friendly and helpful. The rooms needed a little cleaning but we would definently go back. Also the beds were to small for 2 adults to sleep in. The pool area was private and the access to the grill was great. It was close enough to town but not in the thick of things. The breakfast was good also. We will be going back to the inn. thanks for the enjoyable stay.

Will remember I don't want to come back
By Kristen, 04/25/09
We came for a weekend stay involving a Judo tournament. We liked that it was close to the competition location, but we won't be coming back here next year. We will definitely be staying at another location. Upon arriving, it was nice, if a touch scary getting into the parking lot because of the traffic. There's construction going on next door, and seems to be some going on here. The excercise are is currently closed for some reason unknown, and my children and I discovered roaches in our room. Live running around the room, and dead in the refridgerator. If I hadn't already paid for the room, we would have left immediately to find another hotel on finding the bugs. It was pet-friendly, however, our dog has now contracted fleas. We were given a second-floor room with no balcony, that was apparently a Smoking room, but with no ashtray (I'm confused). I don't feel it was worth the money I spent, and would definitely not recommend it to anyone else coming down here.

Declined area with some boarded up businesses
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/28/09
The hotel staff were kind but the area was kind of scary. We parked near the lobby so our car would not be easy to steal. The fitness center was closed for repairs? The are no open restaurants in the immediate area and the in-hotel restaurant is over-priced. Do not stay on the ground floor as there are flimsy sliding glass doors that lead to the parking lot from each room, this could pose as an easy entrance to thieves. This was not a peaceful stay for us and the room was over-priced for the quality.

Great for a getaway!
By Cajungirl, 03/13/08
We actually live near Lafayette but wanted to getaway for the weekend. We called and booked this Romantic Package they have with a Jacuzzi Suite, Dinner, Champagne & Chocolates. We relaxed and had a good time. The staff was very friendly and welcoming! The dinner was good and the pool was nice. We will definitely do this again!

Very nice people, felt like I was staying with family
By ora, 01/09/08
I really like the people who ran this hotel. Everybody was very polite from the people at the check in counter to the housekeeping girl. The hotel is convenient to freeways and to main streets. Continental breakfast is good and the Tuesday Night happy hour was nice and friendly. As for Restaurants, there are several good ones in the are. This hotel very homey.

Don't Want To Go Back
By diane g, 04/05/07
From the outside was great, but when we got to room, no soap and no toilet tissue. Two mainstays for a 6 night stay ! Then went into restaurant for Sunday Night Dinner and was told a limited menu available on weekends. How can you ruin a steak dinner ? They sure can. And there is so much dirt and uncleanliness in restaurant I am surprised health department allows them to remain open. Where we sat there were dead flies and mosquitoes all on window seal and there was a hole in the wallpaper next to me so big that I was afraid something was going to crawl out of it. The next day, I asked the maid to clean room and was told she could not clean it while I was there. I am a female and was no threat to her. They never did clean room. I had to ask for toilet tissue and towels every day. They would pick up towels and not bring any back. After several long days, upon check out the staff was more concerned with making and receiving telephone calls of a personal nature than taking care of guest. Acted as if it was an inconvenience for them to stop dialing that cell phone with the 4 inch fingernails long enough to hand you paperwork, let alone ask how your stay was. Also there were frayed telephone lines outside of our so called balcony, where the door didn't lock and a wooden stick inserted into it kept it secured. Very rundown and will never stay again.

Awesome
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/20/07
I loved the way the ceiling sloped...and the room was very clean. It wasn't like a typical hotel room...It had its own unique look even though it was basic. I loved the way it is gated in and I felt very safe. The price for a room is a great value.
