Baymont Inn & Suites Peoria, Peoria

For a person like myself that travels from construction site to construction site my stay at the Baymont Inn & Suties was great. The front desk service was excellent ( Sam ), the room was clean,the floor was clean & even the bathroom was clean. What few times I did have breakfast there it was good not like some of the other motel-hotel places were you only get cereal & a bagel. The Baymont had a hot breakfast too. As for the location of the hotel I liked it myself because it was quite & not alot of highway noise & not able to hear the people next to your room was a plus. The owner of the Baymont was helpful in every way possible with my stay. He beat out most of his compation on the rate of the room. All in all I would stay there again with no problem.

What a total nightmare this has turned out to be! My family and I booked a week stay at the baymont hotel in Peoria, il for June 13 through June 23, 2011. When we arrived in our room, the owner of the hotel imeditaly came in and told us to move rooms to the one next door. He claimed the beds werent ready and a chair was out of place. The room looked cleaned and ready to me but we went ahead and moved rooms per his request. The other room appeared to be clean and comfortable as well. Until we got a closer look. The phones didn't work, the remote for the tv didn't work, there was hairs in the bathtub and the toilet started over flowing! the staff addressed our problems promptly. Then the real nightmare began. I found a bed bug under my pillow! Upon inspecting the room we found bed bugs in the nightstands and behind the mounted headboards! The desk clerk claimed she has never heard a complaint about bed bugs here but offered to move our rooms. It was after midnight and we had a lot of luggage and belongs so that was our only option. After inspecting that room we found nothing so we went to sleep. The next morning I wok to find yet another one on top of my sheet! At this point we contacted the owner about the nasty problem he's got going on here. He claimed to not be aware of this issue. And said he'll move us to the top floor and have the room fully inspected and have our belongings washed and thoroughly checked for bugs. And he said he won't charge us for our stay. Then later told us he'll give us 3 free nights. It has been nothing but hell since we got here, but since we have pets and a lot of belongings (were relocating and have all our belongings in boxes) were stuck. We waited over 3 hours before we were moved out of the bug infested room. Our new room is clean and so far bug free, but our stuff is spread everywhere between 3 different rooms. They washed our clothes and ruined them turning the whites grey! And just threw them back in the suitcases unfolded and inside out. Were sill waiting on the rest of our stuff and it's going on day two. This morning the owner told us the room were staying in now, has been previously booked and we have to leave by the weekend. We now have to rent another uhaul to move our boxes and spend the next 2 days doing it all over again. I am furious how discusting this hotel is and how my family and I have been treated. Don't stay here I urge you!! This bed bug problem is and epedimec here and they don't care. They may have changed the beds and painted but the need a professional to treat this problem. These bugs live everywhere here not just the beds. The owner has snapped at me a few times and hasn't followed through with his promises except by putting us in a clean room, which he is now kicking us out of. I intend to spread the word about this place in hopes that no one will ever have to endour an experience like we have.

this place is a dump! i work for a three star hotel the Clubhouse inn in wetmont illinois, and this one is not even close. I give this one a two star maybe. The breakfast was trash and the place itself is in bad conditon and the staff is not professional at all. No additional amenties were given and for a rate of $59 it was not worth it at all, i shoulda slept on my car!

We made a reservation for a double room for a wedding my husband was in. He checked in person at the front desk the night before I came to confirm reservation and was told we had a "mini-suite". When I checked in with my 2 daughters and mother-in-law, our room had ONE bed. When I asked the front desk, they told me several times they had no more rooms with 2 beds. To their credit, they tried to accomodate us with a handicapped accessible room for more space since we now needed a roll away and had a pak n play. In the end, we ened up with the "mini-suite" which actually was two rooms with a poor job of the wall knocked out in between. The wallpaper was still ripped! mother in law couldn't get more than a trickle in the shower. I question the cleanliness of the place in general. Our friend's smoke detector was missing and the sprinkler was covered with a paper cup with a baggie hanging from it! The lobby is nice, and makes you think it's a nicer place. Can't complain about the price I guess but would never stay there again.

HAD THE HARDEST TIME LOCATING THIS HOTEL. ATTEMPTED TO CALL THE HOTEL SEVERAL TIMES. FIRST FOR THEIR RATE AND AVAILABILTY, WHICH THEY WOULD NOT GIVE OUT FOR SOME REASON. I THOUGHT POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS SHOULD BE ALLOWED THIS INFO. SECONDLY TRIED CALLING FOR DIRECTIONS AND COULD NOT GET A PERSON THAT TIME. TRIED OVER AND OVER. WHEN WE DID ARRIVE, THE DESK PERSON WAS MIA FOR A LONG WHILE. THEN WHEN SHE DID SHOW UP, SHE WAS VERY RUDE TO US. NO SMILE, NO GREETING, NOTHING. ICE PRINCESS. THE MANAGEMENT WAS NOT HELPFUL EITHER. THEY ACTED AS IF I WERE BOTHERING THEM WITH MY COMMENTS. HORRIBLE CUSSTOMER SERVICE. VERY DISAPPOINTED. DIRTY ROOMS, RUDE CLERKS...

This is our third visit. The price is reasonable for a room and breakfast. It's just a little run down. Still very busy,

I drove around and around for a very long time looking for the entrance to this hotel. So Listen Up ...... You must drive around to the back of the Northwoods Mall....back there is a sign and a small road leading to the Hotel. Once I arrived there and checked in I found it to be Very Nice...the people there were very accommodating, however they may never forget my frazzled appearance upon finally finding the place. All said...I enjoyed my stay, it was clean, quiet and I would recommend it highly and will stay there again, now that I know how to get there :)

We were attracted to this hotel mainly because it is pet friendly. As our daughter was attending Bradley University we needed a place which would also accomodate our dogs. Life is so much easier when we bring them along. The hotel on both visits was very clean and the service and staff was consistently friendly, helpful and just plain great! They greeted us in the lobby with dog treats! When I asked about a fridge, they found an extra and immediately brought it to our room. The continental breakfast was also a nice change from the usual fare of donuts and coffee - they had grapefruit slices, yogurts and cereals, waffles, juices, etc. Also on the plus side - it was quiet! We've just returned from "graduation weekend" half expecting party noise and were pleasantly surprised at how well we slept because it was so quiet. Thank you Baymont! Now if only you had one at Purdue.....

The room I stayed in was 319 it was a great view and very good company. The employees were very polite. The price was right.

The staff was helpful, the room was clean and the internet service worked well. This isn't a first class hotel, but I wasn't paying the price of a first class hotel. It was a good place to stay for what I spent. I will stay here again when I need a hotel in Peoria.
