Very bad hotel to stay at.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/03/10
The front desk person named Christian. Had a very bad attitude. On the phone and in person. I wanted to leave and find some where else to stay but my family wanted to stay because they were tired. I really didn't like the hotel.

Not too impressed
By JMH, 06/12/09
We made a reservation for a double room for a wedding my husband was in. He checked in person at the front desk the night before I came to confirm reservation and was told we had a "mini-suite". When I checked in with my 2 daughters and mother-in-law, our room had ONE bed. When I asked the front desk, they told me several times they had no more rooms with 2 beds. To their credit, they tried to accomodate us with a handicapped accessible room for more space since we now needed a roll away and had a pak n play. In the end, we ened up with the "mini-suite" which actually was two rooms with a poor job of the wall knocked out in between. The wallpaper was still ripped! mother in law couldn't get more than a trickle in the shower. I question the cleanliness of the place in general. Our friend's smoke detector was missing and the sprinkler was covered with a paper cup with a baggie hanging from it! The lobby is nice, and makes you think it's a nicer place. Can't complain about the price I guess but would never stay there again.

NEVER AGAIN...
By Diane, 06/09/09
HAD THE HARDEST TIME LOCATING THIS HOTEL. ATTEMPTED TO CALL THE HOTEL SEVERAL TIMES. FIRST FOR THEIR RATE AND AVAILABILTY, WHICH THEY WOULD NOT GIVE OUT FOR SOME REASON. I THOUGHT POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS SHOULD BE ALLOWED THIS INFO. SECONDLY TRIED CALLING FOR DIRECTIONS AND COULD NOT GET A PERSON THAT TIME. TRIED OVER AND OVER. WHEN WE DID ARRIVE, THE DESK PERSON WAS MIA FOR A LONG WHILE. THEN WHEN SHE DID SHOW UP, SHE WAS VERY RUDE TO US. NO SMILE, NO GREETING, NOTHING. ICE PRINCESS. THE MANAGEMENT WAS NOT HELPFUL EITHER. THEY ACTED AS IF I WERE BOTHERING THEM WITH MY COMMENTS. HORRIBLE CUSSTOMER SERVICE. VERY DISAPPOINTED. DIRTY ROOMS, RUDE CLERKS...

Needs remodeling.
By Lisa, 02/15/09
This is our third visit. The price is reasonable for a room and breakfast. It's just a little run down. Still very busy,

Extremely Hard to Find......
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/29/08
I drove around and around for a very long time looking for the entrance to this hotel. So Listen Up ...... You must drive around to the back of the Northwoods Mall....back there is a sign and a small road leading to the Hotel. Once I arrived there and checked in I found it to be Very Nice...the people there were very accommodating, however they may never forget my frazzled appearance upon finally finding the place. All said...I enjoyed my stay, it was clean, quiet and I would recommend it highly and will stay there again, now that I know how to get there :)

We've been there twice!
By the three canines, 05/19/08
We were attracted to this hotel mainly because it is pet friendly. As our daughter was attending Bradley University we needed a place which would also accomodate our dogs. Life is so much easier when we bring them along. The hotel on both visits was very clean and the service and staff was consistently friendly, helpful and just plain great! They greeted us in the lobby with dog treats! When I asked about a fridge, they found an extra and immediately brought it to our room. The continental breakfast was also a nice change from the usual fare of donuts and coffee - they had grapefruit slices, yogurts and cereals, waffles, juices, etc. Also on the plus side - it was quiet! We've just returned from "graduation weekend" half expecting party noise and were pleasantly surprised at how well we slept because it was so quiet. Thank you Baymont! Now if only you had one at Purdue.....

Good value hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/28/07
The staff was helpful, the room was clean and the internet service worked well. This isn't a first class hotel, but I wasn't paying the price of a first class hotel. It was a good place to stay for what I spent. I will stay here again when I need a hotel in Peoria.

Worst hotel ever!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/11/07
The lack of service at the desk was enough that we should have walked out and found another hotel. The room was dirty at best, stains on the footstool, it should have been removed from the room it was so bad! We went to make a cup of coffee, there was hair and dirt in where we would have poured the water YUCK. The room was too hot, our group took the entire 3rd floor and not one of us got a good nights rest because of the uncontrollable temperature. Bring your own pillow, most of us had to ask for extras they were so small and uncomfortable. The hotel was hard to locate even when I had read the previous reviews that warned us it was not easy to find.

I guess it is NOT Location! Location!! Location!!!
By Gene, 06/12/07
This was the 2-star hotel Priceline choose for me. If you don't know Peoria, this hotel is hard to find. It looks like it is right off of the interstate, but it isn't. It is hidden in one corner of the property of Northwoods Mall. Once you realize that you really want directions to the mall, and not the hotel, then getting there is easy. And after you are there, then you realize that it actually has good and quick access (except during the Christmas shopping season) to pretty much any place you want to go in Peoria. My King room was plenty large for 1 or 2 people. It was clean and comfortable. I would have liked a sleep timer on the TV, but not a big deal. I didn't have my own laptop with me, and the one computer available in the lobby could get busy, but I was able to get on it briefly every day. Obviously it is not intended to be a workstation. There is a small outdoor pool that I never had time to use. If they had had a hot tub, I probably would found the time, but there is none. Noise from the pool area was disturbing one night. but I never noticed any internal noise from other rooms. Breakfast was good with a choice of waffles, muffins, cereal, and fruit. Complimentary copies of USA Today was also provided in the breakfast room.
