Fairfield Inn Savannah Midtown, Savannah

We stayed for 5 days in Savannah and this was just the place to be. It was convient to all of Savannah. The rooms were clean compared to the last hotel. The property was clean and staff was nice. The Manager went out of his way to ensure we had the best of the best. I highly recommend this hotel. I will surely stay here on the next visit.

the property was renovated last year so it is a real improvement from the past. i usually come once a year. service is better as well. for the money i would highly suggest putting this property on your list.

This was one of the best hotel experiences that I ever had. I had never been to Savannah and I was staying at this hotel on business. Thank you so much!

Nothing about this place was likable except for the location and that was clearly convient to all of Savannah. I was totaly knocked out when I opened the door and so the room. It was small and old. Furnishings and carpet stained and smelly. The first thing I saw was what was suppose to be the bed it was almost sitting on the floor. there was one box spring and one piece of foam on top of that with what appeared to be dryer lint coming out of it. Gray and dirty looking. The bathroom was not big enough to turn around in. I went to the desk to see if they had a room with a bed that wsn't sitting on the floor and had a better mattress as I had had surgery on my shoulder and the only response ws "naw, we renovating and thats all we have" I tried to handle it so I went to the pool while my husband took a short nap. The pool was filthy, all kinds of dirt in the deep end. A guest complained about it at the desk and the clerks came out and looked at it and had a boy take a butterfly net and fish out the top layer, but it all returned becasue they had not fixed the problem, just the symptom . I went back to the room to find my husband angry. He had tried to turn down the bed and found that all of the bedding underneath had been balled up in one side indicating that either it had not been made up properly or it had not been changed since the last guest I paid $109.00 for this four hours of again nor will I suggest it to my friends Marriott, I'm surprised at you I would certainly do something about this if I were you.

The location was convenient with easy access to major highways and only a few minutes from the Historic District. Service was friendly, however, they did not follow through with special requests such as extra towels. The accomadations were not what I would expect from a Marriott company. The carpet was stained and the room had a musty smell. The overall cleanliness of the room left much to be desired. The pool area was clean and they did offer an impressive continental breakfast.
