Comfort Suites at Paradise Island:Great!!!
There isn't anything to dislike about this hotel. Since I'm a crancky, disabled citizen, I may have a problem with so much walking around the Island, but I met wonderful, caring people -at the hotel check-in and we were glued togethere during my brief stay. Thanks to the amazing, respectful, professional staff and to each and every employee at PARADISE ISLAND!! I can't stop talking about my wonderful experience: I guess I don't have to die to go to Paradise anymore. Comfort Suites: The best: their free "passport" to Paradise Island: "the bracelet." It equals tons of FUN, FUN, FUN!!!

One Step Above a Motel 6
By ,
Like--The employees were friendly and courteous. Disliked--Lobby, hallways, and room smelled moldy, bed linens were cheap and the bed's blanket was a cheap, old mustard yellow p.o.s., view was of a concrete wall, walk to beach was literally half a mile away--after cutting through all the NICE hotel lobbies which added insult to injury, no room service of any kind, only food available were half-filled vending machines. Ugh! We hated it!!!

pretty fantastic
By ,
i love how its right across from atlantis, the breakfast i can see why its free.the empolyees are so friendly, the pool water was freezing, there is loose cats near the pool and bar,a lot of bugs in the room even though the screen door was shut. bahamas is beautiful and this hotel was pretty fantastic. even though the hallways kind of smelt.i will probley be back, because atlantis cost alot.to stay overnight.

eh...
By ,
LIKE: Location, Atlantis access DISLIKE: Small rooms, Assorted fees upon check-in ( energy- extra $20 or more a day , housekeeping- $5 per person, per day ), no balconies, outdated decor. This hotel was fair seeing how the only time we spent there was to shower or sleep, however the service at the pool bar was gruelingly slow and the outdoor restaurant's food quality was poor. The hotel claims that each room is that of a suite layout when in fact, it's not. The lobby bar has a limited liquor choice, that is if you prefer the taste and quality of top shelf . Beware that the walls/doors are very thin and have no boundary against noise- hearing screaming kids running up and down the hallway seemed to be endless. Lastly, if you want good coffee and a decent breakfast PLEASE spare yourself the Continental Breakfast- a spread of instant coffee, greasy mini donuts, toast or bagels. I would imagine if you are taking your family to the Bahamas then this hotel would be a great option since it's a huge money saver with a walking-distance locale next to Atlantis Royal Towers. Good for couples - eh, not really. This hotel gives you unlimited access to Atlantis Resort daily, which is where we spent all of our time- it certainly has something for every family on any budget. You can eat for as little as $8 per person at Johnny Rockets and $12 per person at Bimini Road or choose to have extravagant dinners at SeaFire Steakhouse. All staff was exceptionally efficient, polite, and helpful on the Atlantis property- it is a very safe resort. I will absolutely visit Bahamas again though I will save for an extra few months if I have to in order to stay at Atlantis.

NO WAY I AM GOING BACK
By ,
The personnal are friendly and do the best they can, you can not ask for more, but that is it. The breakfast was a big joke. The rooms, well you had a bed, a bath , toilet and Charlie ( a cockroach) .Luke warm water, no water pressure from 9am to 2pm, the ac had to working setting warm and very cold.. The garden view was a big tree in front of the window. I paid for the room, plus an energy surcharge, plus a housekeeping gratuity, plus tax. WHAT A RIPOFF... I wonder if I ask to clean my own room I would get a discount????? DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL , If you do go to the Bahamas stay at the any hotel on Cable Beach. Island people are very nice and honest... Recommend you rent a car for a day or two, eat at the local places, look around and find a place to stay, make sure you can check out of the hotel without any penalties first.

Three times and going again!
By ,
It's not the Ritz, but for the money you can't beat this place. Plus, my kids liked the quieter pool at night or in the AM. The rooms are bigger than the rooms in the Beach tower, and you can keep food/drink in the fridge. You get full access to all of Atlantis, and it's the best! I've gone with my girlfriends, with just my family (kids like it better than Disney!) and with my family again with my brother's family. We could never afford to go to Atlantis, but we have been there three times and plan to go again! Staff is nice, place is clean. Breakfast saves a lot of $$$. Love a bargain..

Helpful hints for a great time!
By ,
We (myself and 3 teenage children) just returned from there. We stayed 5/27-31/2008. The hotel was nice like most of their hotels in other locations. No glitz or glamour, but very nice. The beds were oh so comfortable. The staff were great, very friendly, and hospitable. The only incident I had, was that we had a few ants in our room. They were real itty bitty ants that hung around the dressers. However, once I told the front desk about them, by the time i hung up the phone and turned on the TV, someone was there to spray. No problems after that. The concierge rep for Majestic Tours, wasn't very friendly, but I chalk things like that up to a person having a bad day and I overlook them. You HAVE to hit the bar by the pool and tell the bartender "Krystal" to make you her specialty drink. The CS is super close to the Atlantis.... literally a driveway away. Warning: Everything on the island is SUPER expensive. Dining: I had a regular size hamburger that cost me a little over $7... to add fries and a drink was an additional $6.50... and let's not forget the mandatory 15% gratuity tax (tip). I bought a shot of tequilla which normally cost $4, I was amazed to be told it was $16.00 there. My sons bought a large pizza with one item... it cost $36.00. Their Water Park (like Cedar Points Wet n Wild) was an astounding $125.00 PER PERSON (food and transportation NOT included). So be prepared! The best place I found to eat was across the street at Johnny Rockets, Quizno's, and Anthonys. You can also go over to Nassau to eat. The food there cost about the same as in the states and they have Hard Rock Cafe, Burger King, Subway, and such. While your there, definitely check out the Straw Market and the Rum Cake factory. Definetly worth the trip. There are a few ways to get to Nassau, the best way I found (and least expensive) was the water ferry. It's $3 each way per person. Nightlife: Ask the Conceirge desk in the Atlantis for a coupon to get into the nightclub (Aurora) for free (a $20 value). Also "Club Fluid", located in Nassau and close by, was a really nice spot. Ladies get in free on Thursdays until 1am. The clubs close at 4am. Some things require a credit card, so if you don't have one, get a Visa gift card from your local bank or get a gift card from the Atlantis Sundry Store. I traveled with my teenage children, so to save money, we brought snacks ($.25 chips, cookies, candy, and capri sun juices) with us, and I brought liquor with me. That came in reeeeal handy. Note: all liquids have to be in your checked luggage. Lastly, I was going to stay on the Atlantis property but chose Comfort Suites. After seeing their least expensive rooms at the Beach Tower and Coral Tower, I found CS rooms to be roomier, less expensive, and just as nice. Hope this helps you all.

Wish I could come back
By ,
My husband and I recently spent a 4 night stay, compliments of our choice rewards,at your establishment. We found it very enjoyable. The fact that a complimentry breakfast was offered was great. Your staff was very efficient and had nice personalities. The only thing I found odd was that we had to pay for our safe in the room. I felt as though the safe should have been included with our stay at no extra cost. In closing, thank you and I surely would recommend Comfort Suites to all our friends who travel to Paradise Island,Bahamas. Sincerely, Darlene Hood
