Definately A Place to Consider!!
By SimsburyFreecycle, 09/28/09
We stayed for a week at the Omni for a summer vacation in the city. Room was actually two rooms - both good sized - one with desk/mini bar/tv/sofa, and the other had two beds. A pair of French doors connected the two. Very nice for my teenaged daughter who wanted to stay up later and watch TV, or me who is an early riser. Staff was very very very helpful, and gave some great suggestions for breakfast and dinner. Location was great - but a little confusing since the entrance is NOT on Michigan Ave, but actually one of the side streets (although the building IS on the corner of Michigan). I finally just looked for the Apple store, and Omni is across the street. They don't really advertise it, but they offer free town car service within a certain radius. The woman who drove us in the town car was extremely friendly and helpful (and on time!), and even offered to wait for a few minutes at our drop-off destination in case the was a problem. Loved the outside deck off the pool, but the pool is very small for this size hotel, and can get kinda busy/noisy if a few families show up with kids - that was just a minor annoyance. Rooms were quiet and clean, beds were comfortable. Good water pressure in the shower. Close walk to Navy Pier and to many other locations in the city. Definitely would stay here again if I had plans to be in the area. Great job to the folks working at the Omni Chicago!

Gracious Hosts
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/28/09
A two-night stay at the Omni was a highlight of this summer's vacation. The location is ideal for enjoying the Mile. The service from all hotel staff is genuinely helpful, with recommendations that better acquainted us with the city. We could not have been more pleased with our experience and will return when visiting Chicago in the future.

Unbeatable customer service
By Amber, 07/10/09
Excellent view from the room, though the room itself was the least impressive part of the experience. Loved the rooftop sundeck off the swimming pool/jacuzzi area. Four star service at every turn!

Excellent Stay
By BJ9736, 06/01/09
I was in Chicago for business and brought the family (including children) for fun. We absolutely loved the Omni. The pool and jacuzzi were ideal for the family, and all service was first rate and provided with a smile. I would definitely stay here again.

I liked that it was on Michigan Avenue. I also enjoyed the 676 restaurant in the hotel.

Great Hotel
By CB, 02/07/09
Staff was excellent, location and room were great. The only thing we did not like was the breakfast buffet- no pankcakes or french toast ; had to order separate, expensive & not that great. Just a good to know if you had kids. But I would definately stay there again! The pool is perfect for kids and adults & the upper deck with the great view was wonderful.

Dream Stay!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/29/08
I loved the fitness room with the fresh lemon water for the reward of the workout also the heated swimming pool! All staff members were smiley and wanted our stay to be perfect! The complimentary car was a very nice treat and we are looking forward to come back in in '09!! Omni also had an amazing Christmas tree in the Lobby, cute cribs, sweet TV, yummy hot chocolate, soft robes, neat elevators, and a fun atmosphere!!

Superior quality EVERYTIME!
By KatherineW, 11/16/08
I have been to the Omni Chicago about a dozen times over the years. (That should tell you something!) I would never have gone back even ONCE if I wasn't thoroughly impressed! Having stayed at hotels all along the Magnificent Mile, many of which are absolutely wonderful, I can say with confidence that this is the one you should book!! Now let me build my case for you: This luxurious hotel offers spacious, ALL SUITE accommodations. It is warm and inviting, rich-looking without a speck of snobbery. I have literally stayed in hotels on the Magnificent Mile about the size of a shoebox for the same price as the Omni! With comfortable bedding, casual furniture and calm decor in each suite, you are sure to enjoy a relaxing experience. There is 24 hour room service available for those late night hunger pangs, and flat screen TVs for your viewing pleasure! If you have pets, bring 'em! My dogs have been there and love it! And if you are a smoker or a non-smoker, you are sure to enjoy. I personally do not smoke anymore, but have stayed with smokers who were certainly glad to have this option available. (For you non-smokers out there, believe me when I say that you can not smell the smoke. Designated rooms are available for smokers). Pool? Yes! Jacuzzi? Yes! Sunroof? Yes! But the MOST impressive part of Omni Chicago? The great staff, for sure. From the valets and the concierge, to the good folks making your beds and bringing you room service, I have NEVER ONCE had a negative encounter. Each staffer is pleasant and willing to help. That says a lot! Let me stress this... if you do not know Chicago, or if you have never stayed in the city... if you are unsure of a great hotel that is in the heart of it all... PLEASE give the Omni a try! It will appeal to you on every level, and I suspect you'll have trouble leaving! The Omni Chicago is superior everytime!

My stay was fantastic at the Omni!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/20/08
From the moment I arrived at the Omni, I was treated as if I were royalty. I was greeted as I stepped out of the taxi and check-in was a breeze. The staff at the front desk were most helpful from check-in to check-out. The chief concierge was pleasant and most helpful in recommending places to go and see in the city. I actually felt that I had someone looking out for me in a strange city away from home. He also took care of my airline/baggage check-in when leaving to return home. My suite was clean, accommodating, and most comfortable. Every day, I could come back to a nice clean, pleasant suite away from home. I would come from an intense classes and take a relaxing bubble bath with wonderful music. I didn't have to go far for good food because the restaurant in the hotel was great! I like healthy meals and I couldn't ask for better. The restaurant had all the fresh fruits that I could ask for and more at the breakfast buffet. The salads at lunch were also good. I was impressed!!!! Every evening the hotel would come by and pulled back your linens and leave a piece of chocolate. It was a great stay, although my classes were intense, I was able to relax and enjoy the stay. Location was fantastic for shopping, sighteseeing, and more restaurants. I am also a walker and I found I could walk all over and feel safe. I would definitely recommend and return to the Omni.

First Timer
By LLL, 03/16/08
I was a first timer to Chicago and staying at the Omni hotel just showed all the elegance of staying in a large city. I come from small Beal City MI so it is a huge difference.
