We've stayed in the past and loved it.

It's a really great place to stay especially if you have children. I've been to Costa about 15 times and still want to go back because there is alot I didn't get to do. Many of the people complaining about this hotel, I'm sure, have never really travelled and experienced a third world country, which Costa Rica is still. It doesn't matter if the hotel name is Hilton or not, it's still a third world country at a hotel with a discounted rate with tons of ammenities at your disposal. If you are going to the hotel and not seeing the country, eating out at local restaurants, going into towns, you will NEVER experience Costa Rica. If you are looking to be waited on with "service" head to toe you should maybe try 'La Mansion' or 'El Parador' in Manuel Antonio National Park south of Quepos. Rooms are not going to be perfect in any hotel in a third world country, neither are the beds. I have travelled to other third world countries which ave alot less. In the United States we are spoiled by super plush soft beds and perfect, pretty much everything. Just learn to enjoy Costa Rica and what it has to offer, it's beautiful landscape and people, if you're nice to them, they will be more than nice and generous to you.
I would recommend this place to anyone, and don't forget to see the country
