Wyndham Onshore Resort, Newport

I have owned week 28 and week 30 at Newport Onshore for the past 21 years. The photos are Newport Onshore from the harbor. I think the photo is about is an older photo that was taken off season when the boats are gone. Newport Onshore is a wonderful place I still spend a week there every year.

This is my 2nd time staying in these timeshares. Once with my girlfriends (reunion) and the other with my husband, two kids and family members visiting. I spent my whole summers in Newport when I was single. Now I am married with children and my husband I like going back with the family. These units are very clean and pretty much have everything you need. Kitchenette, washer/dryer, iron, dining table, living room area along with two pools with grills and a swing set. Great, great location to walk to everything. We have stayed at the Newport Marriott which, of course, is very nice but this was great for a Sun-Friday rental. Skip the weekend and you will save $800-$1,000 on your rental. The best building is either Northwind or the one opposite so you can see the harbor and bridge on your deck. Really enjoyed our stay.

I agree - those photos are not Newport on Shore - Why would they post pictures of another location???Makes no sense - Newport On Shore is a lovely location - Condos are nicely appointed - but never in all the years going to Newport did I see anything like the pictures posted.

I don't know where these photos are from but the 1st reviewer was correct. These are definately not photos of Newport Onshore Resort!!! It does not look anything like this! Beware and check out directly with the resort prior to booking! If you don't you will be disappointed if you think it will look like these photos! Newport Onshore is nice, but not nearly as nice as these photos look! There is NO spa and no internet connections, but there is an indoor pool and outdoor pool and most rooms show a view of the oceanfront and is very nice. They have BBQ grill for use near the pool and some rooms have a fireplace and either a partial kitchen or full kitchen. They do change the towels for you everyday and make up your bedding (using the same sheets) which is nice as most timeshares do not give this service! Most units also have a washer/dryer in them for convenience too! All units have a deck to sit out on and enjoy.
