Delux Motel, Ida Grove

I stayed here last summer and the place was clean, but not much else going for it. The only reason I stayed again this summer is because Super 8 wanted $110 plus tax for a room with two queen beds! I'm glad I did, though, as they hired a new manager over the winter and he has definitely taken the motel to a whole new level! His attitude is fantastic, he has the staff smiling and friendly, and he really makes everybody feel welcome no matter what! He took great care of us for our week-long stay and never gave us any attitude when we made requests (and we're a bit of a handful sometimes haha). The rooms were gorgeous, new TV's were installed, everything was clean, and the property looks wonderful. The Delux has one of the best free breakfasts you will ever get for a room under $150! Fresh danishes, wrapped donuts, blueberry and banana muffins, toast, cereal, and fresh coffee (all day!) I just can not say it enough, this place really turned around! I even took the manager's cards to give to my friends and family and I told him I'd review the motel on any site i could! Ken was WONDERFUL! :)

Very, very clean. They have a new hotel building back behind their old place. Very spacious and you can pay more for rooms w/ jacuzzi hot tubs or kitchenettes (actually these are in the rooms already behind a locked door and you pay for the key to use them only if you want to). Didn't eat next door but some relatives staying at the same place did and said the food was excellent. The only downsides to this motel were - no personal care items in the bathroom (shampoo, cream rinse, lotion, hair-dryer) so make sure to bring your own. Also no coffee pot in the room (but free coffee down the driveway at the office). The building is smoke-free - and it looks like they enforce it. Loved this place, would stay there again if I was ever in the area.

everyone is friendly and had good directions to my meeting. easy to get to and plenty of extra parking. Staff is always ready to help.
