It's All About Value and a Bit of Style
It's a ten minute cabride from PB International airport. And it's so centrally located, you really don't need a car. I always take cabs, buses and the tri-rail. The mass transit system is really first rate. If you stay at the Hilton or Four Seasons, you really need to rent a car because it's so far out of Palm Beach Central. And, you'll pay twice as much for your room as you would pay at the Palm Beach Hotel.
When I first walked into the lobby of the Palm Beach Hotel 8 years ago I felt as if I had been transported into Palm Beach Florida in the 1920's and 30's. The pool sealed the deal. My wife and I have stayed there many, many times since.
Yeah, the rooms aren't all that fantastic----this is not a Hilton---but there is a uniqueness about the place that is very cool.
I've often walked over the bridge to Clematis Street in West Palm for cocktails or dinner---it's only about a mile walk. City Place is only 1/2 mile further---or take the free shuttle trolley from Clematis to City Place. From Palm Beach Hotel it's is only 3 blocks to the fabulous Breakers Hotel and its excellent restaurants and bars.
Plus, museums, retaurants, shops, are all within walking distance. All in all, the Palm Beach Hotel is a unique, inexpensive, great place to stay if you're going to Palm Beach.
