Tahitian Resort, Treasure Island

Having been going there for 20 + years, No the place isn't spotless, but it is the atmosphere that made the place. It is the people who go each year and reunite with one another. Its the maids that are always so friendly and part of your family. Unfortunately now it is your a #, not a valuable customer. You have the same room year after year. Not no more it is you get one that is equal for what you want. The office staff are not as friendly as they used to be. The old owners would check with you first before they gave up your room. When you checked in they would say do you want to block your room for next year. Very sad that they don't value us anymore. I watch another group also come in at that time. They are great and friendly and they are starting to get the same treatments. Some of them have been going for over 40 years.

We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment. it has 4 double beds in it and a pull out couch. They said that the limit on people that could stay there was 2 and we had to pay $10.00 for every extra person who stayed. This was never stated to us and I talked with them multiple times about our stay. Why would you have a 2 bedroom with a pullout that only sleeps 2? The cleaning staff and maintenance crew were exceptionally nice. The front desk and managers were mean and not helpful at all. The only good thing about the hotel was it was in the beach. The rest of it was run down and old. The recliner in our room had the arm torn off and stuffing was coming out. The wall unit air conditioners covers were laying on the floors. Not all of the rooms had overhead lights so it was very dark and the bedding was just old and dingy. I would not recommend this place.

I have been going there for over 10 years and love the place. We go every spring break in March and love it. Clean, great location, good rates for being on the beach. I cant wait to get there this March.

The pictures are VERY deceiving. I stayed at this location twice 3 months apart and the second time was much worse than the first. Our room was open when we arrived and someone was painting the doors. The window unit A/C was not on and only worked part of the time. Was not worth what I paid at all.

disliked the entire place except housekeeping the ladies were very very nice and should go find another job they really don't belong the place is run down and the rest of the staff is horrible...DO NOT STAY HERE your vacation will be ruined

i loved it. i have been here 3 times and every time it gets better and better. it was clean and wonderful and the staff were amazing. easy and friendly and i really had a joyous time. i will stay there again and again. its the place to be. it was right on the beach and walking distance to every place that i could possibly want to go! hands down my favorite resort to stay at.

My husband daughter and I stayed at the Tahitian for the second time. First time no problems, so we couldn't wait to book again. This time we had a little problem, but Kat and Justin took care of the problem.. This is not a luxury hotel, but if you are looking for a great family friendly hotel on the beach this is it. Location is great. We could walk to Johns Pass or to rests. The cleaning lady was great. Our room was spotless and after a day on the beach she had her hands full. They give you beach towels so less packing. Great family place, no college kids. Can't wait to get back. Chris from New York

I absloutely loved thsi place. We were bayside, with the 1 bedroom apartment that was a great size for 5 of us. With a complete kitchen, we grocery-shopped and ate breakfast and fixed lunch there, it was perfect. The maids left us sooo many towels and sheets (we'd even brought our own beach towels) that we had them piled by the door. Very helpful staff. Yes, it is a bit of a walk to get to the water, but the beach is beautiful. I had a great time, prices were fabulous, I had alot left over to spend on other things with the kids! Will definitely stay here again!!! We always had lots of hot water, and with the bayside, aLOT more parking. Clean and perfectly equipped. Had 2 full/qn size beds, and a pull-out sofa sleeper. Nice!

I LOVED THAT IT WAS QUITE, PEACEFULL PLACE TO REALLY RELAX. IT MIGHT BE AN OLDER RESORT BUT FOR HOW OLD IT IS, IT REALLY IS AMAZING. IT'S A REAL LONG WALK TO THE OCEAN, BUT STILL DIDN'T MIND IT, GIVES YOU SOMEWHAT OF A WORK OUT. MY BOYFRIEND AND I HAD THE BEST TIME EVER, AND WE WILL RETURN FOR SURE!!!

It was exactly what we needed. My only complaint is the King bed (Gulf Front Efficiency)was hard and a little squeaky. The room was big and clean, the front desk staff were pleasant and they let us check in an hour early. I did enjoy our visit and would stay again. Definitely the in the quieter area of the beaches but I liked it.
