Scottish Inn, Boone

This was the worst place I' ve ever stayed. It was not too great looking on the outside but we thoutht it would be better on the inside. It wasn't! It smelled bad and looked dark and nasty. The drapes were filthy. They looked like they had been used to mop up an oil spill. The bathroom was tiny and not very inviting. We turned on the heat and it apparently was stuck and we were sweltering all night. What a dump This was the worst place I've ever spent the night. It looked pretty bad on the outside but we thought it would be better inside. It definitely was not! It smelled bad, the bath room was tiny and not very inviting. The drapes were filthy. We will never stay at another Scottish Inn ever, anywhere!

It was our fault, really. We booked at the last minute & had to take what we could get. The room was funky, dark, drab, and kind of spooky. And stinky. Thankfully, we only had to stay two nights. Given the location of this hotel, if they spruced up a bit, they could really be a nice place! The staff was pretty darned good, very freindly and the ones who spoke English were very helpful. It's a great place if you are a college kid looking for a place to fill a bathtub with beer cas, but I wouldn't take my family there again.
