Disappointed on the third try
I have stayed at this hotel twice before in previous years, so when I booked my stay in June 2010 I was expecting a pretty good deal at a reasonable hotel. Unfortunately, on the third try, this hotel struck out and has lost my trust.
I booked a two-queen bed room with micro-fridge, which costs a little extra. Imagine my disappointment when I got into the room to discover that the refrigerator not only did not work, but that it had food and drinks left in it from the previous occupant. The office made no effort to adjust the room cost for the malfunctioning refrigerator.
Additionally, while walking on the carpet, I noticed that socks or the soles of the feet would become stained black. The tub did not drain, nor did the lavatory sink. These issues were reported to the office, with a request to be moved to a different room. The response was to send the maintenance person to unclog the drains and the housekeeper to "clean" the room again, which did not involve vacuuming.
Making things even more frustrating, the hotel has 2 ice machines in its 6-building compound. The machine in the front by the office was labeled "out of order." The machine serving the back three wings produced about 16 ounces of ice at once and then no more for hours.
There are lots of hotels in the vicinity of the Philadelphia airport. I would strongly encourage people, in light of this experience, to check out those other options. It may cost a few dollars more, but it will be well worth it.
