Can I live here?
This was my second stay in Seoul, and I'll readily admit that the first time, it was one of my least favorite places. This hotel helped turn that impression around.
I had a single room which would happily have slept a large family; at one point, I held a meeting of eight people in my room (which, I'm told, was one of the smaller ones), and we all fit into half of the room comfortably (and there was seating for all). There was a huge shower, separate from the bathtub, and a bidet next to the toilet, all without crowding the bathroom.
The decor was very nice; modern Asian - nothing frilly or fussy, and there were shutters to completely shut out outside light, if one wanted to do so. The internet connection worked well; I had to pay for it, but it started up instantly, and I'm not suffering any lingering problems from it, unlike with some of the other hotels at which I used my laptop.
Then there was the breakfast - fabulous, and I don't even like breakfast! Every hotel since has been a major disappointment. You had a choice of Western, Japanese, and Korean foods - everything from bagels and lox and breakfast steaks to kimchi sausages and sushi. The muffins and sweet breads were truly Western-tasting, not off like those in most of the other hotels I've stayed in in Asia. There was a choice of at least 5 fresh fruit juices - yum!
The location is a little difficult; it is right by the World Trade Center, which is quite far out of town, but it is also right by the subway, and there is a shopping mall attached, so you will not be bored.
