Like a guest should be treated!

It's always the staff that ultimately makes for an excellent or a poor hotel stay. The staff at the GuestHouse Inn in Nashville, TN was very helpful and friendly. The front desk staff seemed eager to answer questions about local attractions. And the shuttle service was particularly accommodating.
The main lobby area had an updated, modern decor with comfortable chairs, sofas, and tables at which to lounge. There's a convenient 24-hr. snack shop in the lobby with cold beverages, microwave foods, and toiletry items. There are also a few small laundry areas equipped with coin-operated washer and dryer.
The room I stayed in was directly across from the elevator. Even so, it was extremely quiet. The cleanliness of the room was excellent. The condition of the carpet, walls, and furniture was very good. The bed and bath linens were clean and of good quality. All of the fixtures/appliances in the room were in working order.
Special mention should be made of the fact that the room came standard with a microwave and mini refrigerator. The hotel shuttle took me to a local grocery where I purchased some real food for snacks.
The continental breakfast was very good and includes homemade waffles. Next to the hotel is a separately owned restaurant with authentic Mexican food that is very good.
The only thing that didn't work well for me was the free WI-FI Internet connection in the lobby. I wasn't able to achieve a connection, although that could be due to an issue beyond control of the hotel. Other people I was traveling with reported the same concern.
It was my first time visiting Nashville and I felt safe staying at this hotel. It's located a few miles from the center of downtown so it's away from the noise of the inner city yet close enough to reach tourist attractions by a short shuttle, bus, or cab ride. Except for children who get disappointed with the lack of a swimming pool, I believe most travelers will find this hotel very appealing.
