Get Away to Glen Ella
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/4/10
Lovely Inn with lovely amenities. Staff makes you feel like you are visiting old friends who sincerely care about your comfort and enjoyment. Inspiring perennial and herb garden, interesting history, excellent dinner. We also enjoyed the nearby Georgia Folk Pottery Museum.

We will be going back- and SOON!
By Even, 6/5/09
We loved the food, the gorgeous views, and the friendliness and dedication of the staff. We hiked and saw the sights, but our favorite pastime was rocking in the rocking chairs on the porch with a glass of local wine. The food was on the expensive side, but worth it. It's been a long time since we had such amazing meals- even the picnic lunch they packed for us was great. We're booking NOW for another weekend retreat!

A Perfect Wedding Weekend
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/18/08
My husband and I were married at Glen Ella this fall and could not be happier about all aspects of the weekend. The new owners, the Kivetts, are attentive, hospitable, kind, enthusiastic, and just a joy to be around. With the help of their wedding planner, they insured that everything was as we wished for our special day…and we asked a lot of them!! They went above and beyond our expectations. While I cannot give them credit for the PERFECT fall weather, I can give them credit for the impeccable service, incredible food, precious inn rooms, outstanding gardens, and overall comfortable mountain feel. We have gotten more compliments on this amazing inn....a true gem that is cared for by really wonderful people. We will undoubtedly be back for another visit and would HIGHLY recommend it to anyone looking for a nice stay in the mountains or just a delicious dinner!

I love this place
By Jennifer, 9/25/08
I have been going there for over 17years and it's lovely. It's a county inn with beautiful but simple furnishing. The breakfast is terrific. The gardens are wonderful in the late spring and early summer. They have recently changed owners and I can't wait to go back and see how they are doing. Our family has many many happy memories of visiting Glen-Ella Springs Inn.

Go some where else
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/28/08
The water smells like sewage apparently due to minerals. We stayed there for one night. We were the only guests. It was near Christmas Eve. I mistakenly left a $325 cashmere sweater I just received as a gift from my significant other. We left the next day, I realized on the way back home 1 hour later I had left it. I called them spoke to the owners told them I had left it on the bed, and could they send it to me. I said I would pay for shipping. They said they would look for it, hung up on me, and I never heard from them again. I called them back, and they said they were not able to find it. The sweater was worth more then our stay. I was shocked at their response to customers, and disgusted at the response to my loss. I stay in hotels around 200 nights a year. I have never seen such a poor response to a customer. Especially since they were shut down the next day for the holidays. I can't believe they didn't even return the call that they couldn't find the new sweater with tags still on it. I expected more from a rural bed and breakfast type place. We are in the area frequently we will never stay there again, and we recommend anyone who asks to stay somewhere else. The place was pretty, rooms were ok, water in the room was unreasonable. If you must stay there bring your own wine and lots of bottled water (to brush your teeth with, drink, wash, etc), and watch your valuables.

Fantastic Place to Just Get Away
By TF, 8/14/07
This is not a resort, it is a country inn and a very good one. It is set in the country with an old time feel about it that cannot be reproduced unless of course the inn is truly 100 or more years old, and this inn is. The rooms, in which I have stayed in 3 different ones, are very nice, comfortable, with that old time charm, but with modern bathrooms. The pool is fantastic, as are the gardens. By far, however, the best feature of this inn is the dining!

Reservations....
By Scott, 3/31/06
Make sure you confirm their deposit policy. If you don't your finances will pay. I booked a room in January and they didn't run my credit card for the deposit until the end of March without telling me. As a result I bounced a check resulting in non sufficient fund charges. As a result I cancelled my reservation. I cannot speak to the quality of the resort but first impressions are hard to change.
