Country Club Inn & Suites, Fostoria

Went into the office, waited 20 mins for someone just to show up. Got a room on the backside and walked into it and wam...No ph in the room, and it was awful. The bathroom was the best part of it, so, I gave back the key and left. This place has went to hell. PS. the picture they are showing IS NOT the hotel. Look close at the sign on the side of the Building...Now, what does that tell ya.

The place has gone downhill in the last year! First two times I stayed at CC Inn & Suites (2007) wasn't too bad - pretty clean, quiet (ALWAYS stay in the BACK - facing the golf course!), and overall OK for the $37.oo price. Second stay last year, things got a little 'shaky' - the Maid got mad, quit, and no one tidied up the room during the day ... Night Manager dashed over and fluffed the bedding and brought fresh towels, ice, and an apology. Memorial Day 2008 Weekend - **YUCK**! Hardly any rooms occupied - and they couldn't find my reservation requesting a 'back side room'. Got the front & back thing straightened out ... went back to find I'd won the room with the broken door - out of service card lock and a very ill-fitting key-in-knob lock. Broken door jamb with a missing inside security bar. And did I mention the DOG POOP on the sidewalk? At least a day old! Lovely Room - a one foot in diameter STAIN on the rug inside the door; STAINS on the chairs; no bath mat; minimal towels, NO SOAP nor Shampo; TV remote wouldn't scan channels nor adjust the volume; a ciggy pack on the floor behind the "dresser", and a couple "lumps of stuff" laying on the rug in a few places. If it hadn't been late ... I'd have booked! Off to a picnic in the morning ... back late the second night ... and the room hadn't seen a maid all day! Dropped into the office and was told "We NEVER do maid service unless requested!" Well, I "requested" a tidy-up, fresh towels, AND soap. Told they "never did supply shampo". I left for dinner - fresh towels, a re-made with OLD sheets bed, and a pile of tiny "soaps" greeted me upon my return. I've HAD IT with this place ... the only reason I stayed either night was that I was tired and didn't want to look for a less-filthy place! BE WARNED - there must be better rooms in Fostoria!

The hotel is owned and operated by a hard working service oriented family. It is a nice place to stay with clean rooms, but ask for a room in the rear facing the golf course. There is another hotel up the road that costs another $40/night but that gets you a continental breakfast and not much else.

was just a trucker paradise type motel, look for something better. I will never go back to this one. I see now that there is a Holiday Inn Express accross town, wish I would have known sooner.
