Crystal Hotel, Engelberg

Just 30 minutes outside the town of Lucerne, Crystal Hotel located in Engelberg is a wonderful stop for couples or families. Engelberg a quiet and tiny village with enough boutiques, restaurants, bars, and beautiful views to occupy your time. Or if you'd prefer, enjoy hours of lounging on your hotel room balcony looking straight out to the Swiss Alps. If you are with a family I would suggest renting the apartment suit connected to the hotel with two bedrooms, master washroom, living area, dining area and kitchen. I was only lucky enough to stay there for two nights on my way throughout europe but it was most enjoyable. The food was absolutely delicious and I hope to be able to go back soon.

Where to begin? The service....horrible. The staff....incredibly rude. At times it felt like they forgot I was a paying customer. The food....Cuisine? Hardly. The rooms....Not the Ritz by any means. The location was nice, but outside of the winter months it is in the middle of NOWHERE. Nearly an hour from Lucerne. If you like rudeness and solidarity, this is the place for you!

I was backpacking through Europe and I came upon Engelberg! I loved it! I loved the hotel! I had been staying in hostels and such and this hotel was like heaven on earth! The views are amazing and they washed and dryed all my clothes for just 10 euros! The staff was great! If I ever go back, this is were I would stay!

My husband and I went there last year in December and it was just fantastic.The hotel and the crew were amazing and the town is just Unbelievable. It's Easily a walking distance to reach the ski area from the hotel and every this is so nice and BEAUTIFUL.
