The Franklin Inn, Bad Axe

The Franklin Inn has by far the best pizza in town, quite possibly the best pizza I have ever had. The rooms are nice, tv's in room a bit small but the 70 inch HD in the Lounge is great for any local game that I wanted to watch. My wife and I stayed the weekend in Bad Axe while visiting family in the thumb and I would go here again anytime. Small town feel and it seems like everyone knows each other, the food is great and we really enjoyed the pearch dinner.

I agree the food is good and they do have a great place to hold a wedding or get-together of any size. However, the people in the office are not the most friendly or the most organized. When asked if they were hosting a certain event i was greeted with a snobby "I don't know". When asked if they have anyway to find out it was as if I was putting them out. I also booked the bridal suite there in 2008. I had confired this reservation everytime I called to book another room (4 other rooms were booked at 4 different times). Less than one week before my wedding I called to confirm every room and was told that the bridal suite was booked to another couple. All of a sudden at the last minute I had the incorrect confirmation number? I really have a hard time recommending this as a place other than to eat. They are not professional in any manner and the two other hotels in the area are just as nice.

The Staff was excellent! The Buffet was incrediable! Their reception hall is beautiful! Made our trip a great experiance! Thanks to all the staff (especially Amber) for going above and beyond and making the wedding a memorable event for all!

I think the Bad Axe Frankin Inn is the best motel to stay at if are you in Bad Axe.The food there was great and the buffet was grand. The housekeeping staff was wonderful. The rooms were very clean and they smelled great.If I had to rate the motel from 1 to 10 I would give it a 10,Or the best motel ever.If you were in the area I would recommend this motel to any one staying in the area.

The rooms are dirty. The food is overpriced and bad. The staff is rude and ignorant. Need I say more??? Dont waste your time or money on this place!! There's a Holiday Inn down the street!

ok... so this is a small town in the thumb! Service and staff need to learn somthing from the city! Rooms smell like they are trying to cover somthing up not clean. Service in the lounge on Friday night was awful. Try getting a drink there if you are not a "REGULAR" The service in the resturaunt was ok but the food was overpriced and nothing special. Prime Rib was the worst I ever had!! Should have ate at the Big Boy. No pool, game room, no nothing! What a waste of time and money. Next time I travel to the thumb I will stay at the econolodge.

Half of the Rooms are very new, the other half are designated smoking rooms...thank goodness I don't smoke. Smokers stink up the place. But the rooms are nice, the staff is small town chic, and the other amenities like the restaurant, banquet hall and lounge are very fancy for the small town of Bad Axe. Best thing in the THUMB!

This was a very nice place to stay. The staff was nice and the breakfast was delicious. I would recommend this to anyone who was staying in Bad Axe. Very organized and clean atmosphere.

The room I was in had an odor, it was like some kind of air freshner. I'm not big on that kind of stuff, I don't use it in my home and don't care to smell it at a hotel that I'm sleeping at. I would have just preferred to smell the cleaning products that were used to clean the room instead. As far as their complimentary breakfast, it leaves a little to be desired, with a restaraunt on site, you would think they would offer some kind of standard small breakfast of some sort as their complimentary breakfast instead of what they do offer. There isn't anything there that would draw a family of any sort there, no pool or game room for the kids.
