Magic Carpet Motel, Daytona Beach

I was not very happy with my stay at all. The first thing that happened was the sliding glass door fell apart when I tryed to close it. Next, when I sat on the bed the frame of the box spring was broken and it went right to the floor. And to top it all off, I went to make coffee in the morning and the coffee pot was covered in mold. Never again will I stay there.

It has been 18 years since I was at this hotel. I was scared to go back after reading horrible reviews, but DEBBIE has taken over and the service is EXCELLENT!!!. She gave us loads of extra towels without asking, lots of freebie gifts, and when I called to asked when check-out was she said no one else was coming in and she said we could stay in the room until 1:00 p.m., NO EXTRA CHARGE! My family went to breakfast and I stayed behind in the room. DEBBIE sent the kids back with little boxes of cereal for me!!!!! We only paid $60.00, but I felt like I was at the RITZ. You can't beat this service! The room was spotless, new mattresses on beds, new curtains, fresh paint, newly tiled floors, lots of upgrades from 18 years ago when I was there. The pool was crystal clear and very inviting, kids putt-putt course was newly greened, and DEBBIE even let my dad use the hotel water hose to clean the bird poop off the car!!! PEOPLE-We only stayed ONE NIGHT!!!! I will never stay anywhere else in Daytona and I plan on going back a lot more often. I am tired of being herded like cattle through places like Best Western. I want this type of personal service and I can PROMISE you I will NEVER stay at any other place in Daytona. THANK YOU DEBBIE!!!!

I took my family here for the first time dec 2006, and it was the best vaction ever. We had a very clean room, and enjoyed the spacious rooms. We just came back march 2009 and the only thing that has changed was the staff. The rooms were still spacious and clean. The staff on the other hand werent as polite or interested in their job as before. However i still recommend this hotel to every person i know that is traveling to daytona beach. Well worth the money.

My husband and a friend stayed at the Magic Carpet May 15-19, 2008. It was our first time but I assure you if we get enough gas money to go back to Daytona, Magic Carpet is where we will stay. Debbie at the desk bent over backward to make us happy. We got lots of goodies in our goodie bags, all of which were great. Our room was large and we were able to check in much earlier. Our air conditioner was on its last legs so when we brought it to their attention the (very nice) maintenance man replaced the whole unit within a half hour of our request! What service! The poor guy even woke up at 5am to give us a wake up call our last day. It was a wonderful stay and I highly recommend this place. Thanks!

When I arrived at the office, I had to wait because the manager was having a meeting with her staff. I overheard the manager say to the staff, "contrary to what you've heard the customer is not always right. Just remember you are in charge here and the the customer is paying to stay here." With that I headed to my car, and never looked back.

first off get a clue you cant see these people are down to earth and they are al;ways busy everytime i'm around they are working i see the housekeeper and the manager doing both jobs all the time . . . If you had a problem and you address the situation with a bad attitude . You will get no where i have stayed here for 9 years and i do not belive most of your review ..so get a clue and stay somewhere better its not like you pull into the hilton when you arrive in the parking lot. So dont try to lie and say i didnt know what i was getting into. farther more why would the manager (who is a sweet sweet girl i enjoy her company when we chat) hand out the owners personal information does that even sound right? She is right thats why business owners have managers to handle a!@holes like you ! i suspect you are being like a child who didnt get their way when they wanted to start problems . . Next time stay up the street and get a clue ! my overall reveiw is ihave stayed here 9 yars and i have never never had any problems like this so i am not sure i entirely believe you. grow up !

I have never stayed in a motel like this in my life. When we were there I had to ask for toilet paper, the rooms were really dirty, the beds old and I know I could have stayed at a much nicer place for just a few dollars more. But on top of it all, two months later they billed me again and I am still trying to get reimbursed. They keep telling me that they will call me back and I am still waiting. I asked to talk to the owner, but the manager refused to tell me her boss's name, saying that is why they have managers. I have to now contact my attorney, the Better Business Bureau and the credit card company all because NO ONE WILL HELP.

We stayed at the Magic Carpet for Biketoberfest. I wasn't expecting much considering it was one of the lowest priced rooms I could find on the beach. However, I was pleasantly surprised! At check in the manager (can't remember her name) was extremely friendly & helpful. We had a huge room with 4 queen sized beds, a kitchen & two balconies. Room was clean & spacious. Management & housekeeping were extremely helpful & friendly. Not one complaint, if we go to Daytona again we will definately be staying at the Magic Carpet!!!!!

Stayed there 10/18/07 for 4 days and really enjoyed it. Jessi in bookings was very pleasant and accomodating. Stephanie in reception when we booked in was so helpful and friendly, as was Barry the Maintenance Man and Lorie the House Keeper. What a friendly group of people when you pass them in the building. The motel is old but the rooms were recently updated and very pretty as well as spacious, as well as all having sea views and balconies. Breakfasts consisted of cereals, tea & coffee, fruit juice boxes and sweet pastries. We were 3 families in 3 rooms and no one had any complaints. It's in a nice area and close to restaurants, boardwalks, entertainment etc. I have no hesitation in recommending this motel and will go back there next year.

We will never stay at this hotel again. We were very disapointed in the cleaniness of the room. The floors were very nasty and very dirty. There were these ant like bugs that would crawl on the tables and countertops. In the refrigerator the freezer would drip water down onto your food. The shower floor was dirty and covered with sand. You had to request to have your sheets changed each day. It wasn't worth what I paid.
