Vienna Wolf Trap Motel, Vienna

Any price too high for this place. Bored staff who didn't give a flip. Deadbolt didn't work on door. Stains running down bathroom walls like someone urinated on them. Linoleum in bathroom didn't cover all of floor. Non-smoking room was previously smoked in. Guess they thought if they put a giant fan in it that made it all right. Step near second floor in staircase seemed to be collapsing. Continental breakfast not any good. Don't waste your money on this place.

i stayed here for 2 nights in june 2009, and needed somewhere cheap to access DC. it was a very good value. people at the desk were always very nice, friendly, and easy to work with. check in and check out took no time. the room was clean and there was free wireless internet and cable. AC worked well. the rooms are old and small, so if you're looking for decor, this is not the place. i'm a sucker for old stuff though, and i thought the little wickerwork stuff was cute. i didn't hear noise from anywhere, though i would have liked to have curtains on the front windows (there were only blinds). morning breakfast didn't really look great, but whatever. i ate all meals in DC, but there was a mexican restaurant next to the place, and a few other restaurants in the vicinity if i needed them (a pizza place i think). metro stop is a little over a mile away. they say you can walk, but in the summer heat? no way. walking would have taken about 20 minutes i'm guessing (no time for that!) i drove there, and didn't have trouble getting a space at 7:15am. i would certainly stay again as this is the best value for getting to DC. i was very pleased with my stay.

The motel (it's not a "hotel") is old, but clean and quiet. Some members of our party were smokers, and it seems this motel "punishes" you if you smoke by not having refrigerators or microwaves in the smoking rooms. No explanation was given as to why that is. Maid service was great, except that they knocked on our door around 8:00 one morning. We were on vacation for goodness sakes. When we told them we weren't ready to step out yet, they insisted on knowing when we'd be leaving the room. On the back side of the "do not disturb" sign, there is a message saying they can clean the room now, and I told them we'd put the sign out when we were leaving. I realize they have numerous rooms to clean, but 8:00 seemed a bit early to us. After that, we put the "do not disturb" sign out, and flipped it over when we left, so that took care of that. There are several restaurants on Maple Drive, several within walking distance, so it was very easy to find great food in the vicinity of the motel.

Location is terrific!! Price was unbeatable for their great location! Tyson's Corner only 2 miles away. Staff was efficient and friendly. Close to restaurants and shopping.

The best thing I can say about this hotel is that I was not afraid of bugs carrying my bed away. Other than that, the staff is rude and have no idea what customer service is about. After staying at the hotel for 10 weeks in the last year, I finally was able to speak with the manager and then I realized why the front desk has such a horrible attitude. The beds are uncomfortable, the rooms are dingy and run down, the linens are old and worn out. If a motel is going to offer no amenities except wireless internet, then they should at least have decent customer service. When I spoke with the manager and told him my concerns and that I would go to another motel, he said to go on if thats what I felt I needed to do. Must be nice to not need business.

The Wolf Trap Motel is a great place to stay. It has the best price in the area. And now they have wireless internet. The staff is very helpful. I stay there everytime I come to town.
