Anchor Inn, Chincoteague

As a first time visitor to Chincoteague, we stopped by Anchor Inn just to check prices and look over the property. We were greeted so warmly and made to feel so welcome (southern hospitatily at it's best) that we decided to stay overnight. We had a lovely waterfront room with a king size bed and a balcony overlooking the bay. The room was spotless and everything was up to date; wireless internet, refrigerator, hair dryer, etc. The property was well maintained and the roses by the pool were beautiful. There is also a marina and dock where you can sit out by the water. In the morning we had the continental breakfast, homemade coffee cake, bagels, danish pastries, sausage biscuits, hash browns, cereal, muffins and enjoyed eating on the screened porch. We decided to stay another night and will be back again for sure! All in all, we enjoyed our stay very much and the hospitality shown to us was outstanding! V isitors from New York

Chincoteague is diffently a beautful place and the Anchor Inn motel is simply a lovel motel and the sunsets from the private balconys are so pretty and the continental breaksfast is nice and the cookies at checkin are yummy, we just loved our stay. William from florida

The anchor inn is a great family motel, we just loved the dock where me nad our kids could crab and fish and the sunsets from oue rooms were jusr beautiful, we will difinitely be going back.

Cleanliness, yes very important to me as I have 3 young kids under 6. Location cannot be better. Beautiful, peaceful sunset. Price is a little steep for a motel but trade off with the location and nature around you (seagulls & ducks). Oh yes, the Island is swamp with mosquitos but believe me, there don't seems to be any in this motel, only some houseflies. If you want an island cruise, there is one just right besides it.

My family has been staying at Anchor Inn for years. I love the place. If you like a laid back atmosphere this is the place for you. There are boat docks right there and is very convenient for the boater or fisherman. Every year I can't wait to go back.

This was our first stay at the Anchor Inn and we can't wait to go back. Friendly and courteous staff. Hospitality abounds, esp owners. Location and view are perfect. NJ travelers.
